Thank you for all your hard work!

With regard to the SIM reset issues on HM2014813 (and possibly 2014811), do you believe they should be reported upstream? Have you heard of similar issues on miui.com?

http://en.miui.com/thread-114845-1-1.html

I make the report a month and a half ago, some of us where able to correct the failure...
I had stumbled into your bug report just a bit, before reading your response here. Thanks!

I do have some questions though:

1) In the bug report you mentioned the official firmwares (EN/CN and global). Did you indeed encounter these issues in those firmwares, in addition to the xiaomi.eu one?

2) I had installed the firmware on the problematic phone via installing a stable fastboot official image and then installing the xiaomi.eu latest stable firmware (6.5.2.0 IIRC). The fastboot installation should have taken any strange issues regarding caches etc that should be deleted. I did full wipes afterwards, but only from mirecovery. The issue persisted though... Could it be that the phone needs a TWRP clean?

3) Do you have the 1 or the 2Gb model?

4) Finally, has the issue reappeared after doing a clean install of the 5.6.4 developer as per your bug report? And which developer edition was installed, the xiaomi.eu one or other?

Sorry for troubling you that much my friend, but this is a rather serious issue and you're the first one who's on spot with the problem.

1) i found the same bug in all verisions of miui (official, xiaomi.eu, and miui.es) i've tested.

2) i think that a fastboot install and a TWRP full wipe make the same clean, i'll do a full TWRP celan and after remount, then i make the install, i think the only thing is not formatted is EFS for obious reasons. I think also that the fastboot flashing re done the partitions on the phone.

3) i have 2014811 1GB Redmi2, i can tell that the bug is present in 2014813 variant as well because in the spanish comunity is a very frecuent bug in both models, no matter what is the publisher of miui.

4)the bug apears in mid april, i think in 5.4.17, and it was possible to avoid setting the phone in manual carrier mode. i was on xiaomi.eu rom, then i tested with official and miui.es forums, each version making a clean install... as you can see i'm talking about flashing the phone 3 times each week....
After that with the version 5.6.4 (official) i saw that was bug free, and flash xiaomi.eu (because i like spanish in the phone) in clean install. there also was bug free. Today i've flashed 5.6.25 as a update (no clean install) and still works very well.

There is no problem for my to answer :)

Thank you for the info.

Same issues here: evident on both Redmi 2 models.

So I'll have to wait and see whether some newer stable solves this issue. Again, thank you for all your help!!!
