Feels like we Mi Note users have been left out of the loop a bit here.

Installation:

Xiaomi devices:

• Install TWRP zip via Updater app or Fastboot mode, then install our ROM
• TWRP Recovery Zip DOWNLOAD
• For root on Mi3/4/4c/4S/5/Redmi3/Note3Pro/MiNote/MiNotePRO install SuperSU in TWRP

Since when?
It's same process for almost, if not all, xiaomi devices...

All Xiaomi devices received a xiaomi.eu ROM update 6.2.25 that installed twrp automatically except the Mi Note. Apparently we Mi Note users have to use fastboot and a PC instead. I don't know why.

SOS HELP - I just bought Redmi3 from Aliexpress.
It was not Official ROM, I flashed TWRP. TWRP can boot, do I still need to UNLOCK BOOTLOADER before flashing MIUI Multi?? - THANKS!

I don't know. I'm pretty sure you can find reason why if you look at official miui forum. They announed they will drop support for it two weeks ago or something. Stable builds still continue tho

I think that you can update with your current TWRP, manually. I'm using TWRP 3.0 by Cofface

For our device is better to install manually, after Dalvik cache and cache wipes!
