How to install Aries - Access /data via a file manager (as root) and copy the zip to /data . You can then access it via recovery. Works for me.

Just because this time it did not work as always - internal storage is not available from TWRP. I do not know why, may be due to no root feature...yeah, but why is it necessary. what is the advantage? I always update it via updater app without any issue...

I think 7.x.x is stable version of miui and 6.x.x is date of developer rom releaseWhat's the difference with 7.x.x.x and 6.x.x.x versions?
7.x.x.x is more recent?

Hi,Did you try to download manually the zip file and then install it with TWRP?
Reboot on TWRP and choose manually the update zip and install it.
Let us know.
It will be great if somebody from developers give clear explanations about the issues …I lost root access with this update too. I just checked the internal storage content via TWRP and all available for me. Strange...same ROM same device but different user experience.
You can try to install SuperSu and you feedback will be completely welcome or wait for next updates and hope that root access will be included againHi,
I lost MI 2s root too, could you please tell me how to get root in detail, thank you!!
Maybe you have locked the bootloader with the lastet dev chinaHi all!
So I wanted to refresh my device and installed latest China Dev ROM via Fastboot with MiFlash - that worked out great.
However, I can't go back to EU ROM - Mi Recovery gives me installation error both when I try to flash the ROM or TWRP recovery.
Any advice, please?
No... Stable are "older" ROMs, with stable proven features - all new features appear first in dev ROMs, and only later in stable. But the both have the same features?
What's the diference with both?
