[QUOTEIT.
IT Does not workThe Mayor, post: 299923, member: 149146"]Can you try and flash 5.1 MIUI7 first, and then flash 5.1 MIUI8

4.4 (MIUI7) -> 5.1 (MIUI7)
5.1 (MIUI7) -> 5.1 (MIUI8)

Let us know if that works.[/QUOTE]
Tried it,doesn't work.

@ingbrzy I notice that the in-call contact name bug present in latest miui 7 6.5.30 still exist in this miui 8 build.

Whenever I try to dial a contact with more than 1 numbers, the contact name won't show up in the in-call screen, just the numbers (the name is replaced by his/her numbers). Can you help to solve this please? It's quite annoying to not be able to see who you're calling. Thanks.
I can confirm this, me too got this problem since MIUI7 and now MIUI8 with the latest build v6.6.17, Mi Note Pro.

Hey guys.
First, really thanx for your good work on it.

I didn't understand this "Blurred statusbar and notification shade"
My status bar still the same on "official" one ROM.

I really didnt like the new status bar on Miui 8 and if this was blurred would be great!

I have MiNote.

Thanx!
I had the same question. I see that dialer app is now transparent when calling/receiving calls, but status bar and notification panel still has this ugly green shade. Anyway to change it?

I have installed this update on my Redmi note 2 via TWRP.
It took 1,5 hours untill I decided to reboot my phone manually.
I returned to 6.5.26.
The result is that my phone does not recognise my IMEI anymore.
I have the error com.android.phone is stopped.

I have a useless phone now.
Is there a way to recover my IMEI ??

Any help is much appreciated

René

On Mi3W with 6.6.16 people tell me that my voice is too quiet. I checked that with my second phone and yes, they are right. But in dictophone everything is fine. So, what is it and how can I fix this quiet call voice bug?

Thank you for the great work & the upload.

Coming from MIUI 7 & All went fine, smooth installation, no annoying notifications or bugs so far.

Only one issue.

Battery drains out compering to miui 7.
My device is rooted & using NO FRILLS CPU to down click CPU FREQUENCY but still drains out.

Only wifi & 1 sim card activated

From 100% in 3 hours 70%, battery save on & normal use.

Any ideas.. thank you in advance

I posted in the bugs subforum, but nobody answered so I'm trying also here. For a couple of ROM versions, when I use Bluettoth headphone with microphone, the phone takes the audio from the internal microphone and not from the BT headphones mic. Is there any setting or any solution to switch it to the BT headphones mic (audio works in headphones, though).

Hi guys. I have just installed this new upgrade and everything works fine.

I have disabled or uninstalled some apps that I don't use, as Google Keyboard for instance, but everytime that I install an upgrade they come back.
Is there a way in order to avoid everytime that I install an upgrade to re-disabled these apps?

Redmi note 3 pro, Update from latest stable with no problems. Only thing i notice is that when closing all apps for more ram the phone freezes for about 3 seconds. Not sure if it's my phone only or anyone else with the same issue.

I haven't wiped the phone.
FYI I'm also using xposed framework.

Anything special you do to reach this? On first test I get pretty bad 37K. Opening battery & performance, I choose no restriction for antutu app & its 3d companion, now I get 48K. The previous best I can get with thermal throttle + interactive governor tweaks are 66K. So this 71K must have something I don't...
Nothing special. Only installed SuperSU (disabling ads), no tweaks or something.

Updated (with the updater app) my RN2 on Friday, rom worked fine with occasional glitches (nothing too serious), but battery seemed to be dropping too fast. I reflashed the Saturday version with TWRP, wiped cache and dalvik/art cache after flashing and since then battery life seems to have improved. Could be worth a try if someone has the same battery drain problem that I did.
