I'm running the latest miui 7 on my mi4 but don't have TWRP installed. Do I need TWRP for this or do I just wipe Cache and Data and then intsall from updater or fastboot mode? Also, miui 8 not rooted right? I have been lurking for awhile here, what do you guys use for backing up your contacts, msgs and obviously app and user data?

You're running latest miui 7 china build then right? If your bootloader is not unlocked you need to do that first and yes you need twrp to flash this rom. I don't back-up anything but you can use built-in back-up feature that needs your Mi account.

No I have the latest Miui 7 from this website, I have been getting my ROM here for about a year. Do I need TWRP even though I have 6.5.26?

But my camera is installed with camera in MIUI v7 that should be in the version MIUI v8.
It's happen with my calculator too.
Is it bug?

Works great on Xiaomi Mi Note (virgo), but following stuff disturbs me:

• Have to turn off "Turn on MIUI opzimization" in the developer options, or lags will occur all the time
• Themes app always crashes when I try to choose a new wallpaper. NullPointerException.
• My GPS isn't working very well. To be honest, I see a few "not granting INSTALL_LOCATION_PROVIDER" in the logcat, for Qualcomms izat and a few other location services that are integrated into the system. Also, in the GPS settings, I only see "Google Location History" in the Location Service, which I think is caused by "not granting INSTALL_LOCATION_PROVIDER".

davdroid has the permissions to the calendar and contacts but I do not see it in my calendar and contacts
