now i cant even enter fastboot mode. im really stuck, and i cant figure out how to insert the proper boot.img now that i dont have fastboot.

"fastboot boot twrp.img" will boot you into TWRP, then just select zip to install and reboot... done..

Had to transfer the EU ROM zip file after the fact. Can boot now, it appears I have lost root privileges. Will tinker further once I get some sleep. I am going to also assume my bootloader got locked in the process earlier.

When I create second space in settings and then it go reboot screen and then does not get in second space.

yeah done installed and rebooted. when i tried to reboot the phone to twrp by hitting power and up, i dont get the twrp boot menu. i get the mi recovery page when you are greeted with an image of a phone being plugged by a usb cable.

Instal twrp. Boot normal system, check updater app, (no update), press three dot, and press reboot to recovery...

I try to setting language to English and create second space work fine magically.

Now I set language to English and create second space.
Then change language back to Chinese Traditional.

It work fine now.
