What's up with the Redmi note 4 why is it suspended so long?

Hi,
I cannot update with latest two roms, including this one. Flashed successfully the first release with Android 7, and since then its not possible to update.
I'm using the latest TWRP 3.1.1.0 and when start install of the zip it looks like everything is going well, no any errors.
And just when it nearly completed, it just freezes. I wait 30mins. and more, nothing happens.
Then restarted and it cannot boot, so I restore the backup.
Anyone knows some workaround for this problem?

My battery life has tanked after this update (Mi5). On the previous two versions I was getting over 3 days of use but after this update I barely get through a single day. The major offender seems to be the wakelock "wlan_wow_wl".

No, the only thing you'll see is that you need to enter your password before entering recovery

You can do it easily with a Mac. Google " Fastboot and Mac"

I noticed there was a new setting under WLAN called "intelligent traffic strategy" which was set to "closer". I changed this to "normal" and also changed frequency to 2.4GHz only. This seems to have fixed the problem.

I have a problem with the calendar. The "you-have-an-appointment-dots" showing the days you have an appointment are created one week after your appointment. So you get confused.
I uploaded screenshots. The appointment created for 18th July doesn't show a dot - it appears on 25th July - where I don't have an appointment.

I have a XIOAMI REDMI 4x, with the ROM xiaomi.eu_multi_HM4X_XXX (the one that updates weekly), I already changed the version this Friday and it did not update automatically, I downloaded it manually and tried to force the APP updater, it restarts when it will apply and enters the recovery and does nothing. Do I always have to do a clean installation when an Update comes out?

indeed I notice this also. the dot does not appear however you can see the tasks if you access events in the menu in up left corner of the calendar.
