I recommend reinstalling. can be bad ROM download. I happened to something similar, I did wipe sistem, cache and dalvik cache

I wiped ALL 20-50 times XD, and re-download 9, 8.5, 8.2, 8.1 roms. All the same FC error.
Whats recovery you used?. the "official" stop in 90% of installation.
Whats rom you used? I'm desperate

Latest 5X fastboot china dev image I could find on official servers is 7.9.14: http://bigota.d.miui.com/7.9.14/tiffany_images_7.9.14_20170914.0000.00_7.1_cn_c1bd304b03.tgz
Flash it using MiFlashTool: http://api.en.miui.com/url/MiFlashTool
After that you can proceed with the usual xiaomi.eu install

Through twrp, can I flash the previous firmware 7.9.14 as usual, or do I need to do something else for the downgrade?
