It is written on the first page:
"For ROOT install Magisk in TWRP and reboot one more time after install to get rid of system lags"
Basically your root is wiped out after update, so You have to install it once again.
OK.

Hey,

Thank you for you reply.

The issue here is that Magisk app doesn't fully installs. In TWRO I get Successful install but after booting the phone the app isn't there.
I didn't have this problem on Oreo, it began only now after updating to P.

Here my question again (c&p): -->Thanks in advance

Hello...little question. I received my mi8 explorer edition 2 days ago. Currently a really good phone. But now I think about to install the xiaomi.eu multi lang. Rom..Is there any issue? Fingerprint and 3D FaceUnlock work without any problem??? And is there a possibility to get rsap working?!?
Many thanks and kind regards

I was reading back and saw someone that had upgrade then managed to downgrade on a mi8. Has the anti roll back protection been disabled?

Have any others gone back to 8.1?

Another one with Telegram notifications not wotking. Sometimes when I press the power button it doesn't turns on/off the screen. Also having the message "don't cover sensor area" while in stable release I didn't had this issue. No other problems with the rom, the rest is working great.

Hi Good day

I'm using 8.8.30 on Mi8 SE and it's good but notifications on AOD by third parties app like whatsapp missing

Do you now if is it has been fixed on this last version 9.13 ?

The problem is not the first long boot time. This is okay, I've also cleaned cache etc. So no problem there. But the second booting time is a problem. Several people are reporting this on mix 2s and mi8. Some of them did a clean flash. So I don't believe the problem occurs because of dirty flashing.
Sure, I agree.

I meant that when it happened to me, I though the reboot may be wiping the cache, because it takes as long as the first boot.

Install: factory reset + format data:
Mi MIX 2S, Mi 8: long boot time: around 70 s which is very long compared to Redmi Note 5 (whyred, dirty flash) with 25 seconds

Mi MIX 2S, Mi 8, Redmi Note 5: Outlook, customizing sound notification for e-mails>fc

Who will get the information when I press send on internal error report? Xiaomi or Xiaomi.eu

I'm using Titanium Backup for backing up my apps and their data.

Magisk 17.1 works flawlessly on my MI8. Try to wipe Dalvik and cache before and after flash.There was no need for second reboot.
The only things that I found so far is tethering not working and also hide notch. Other than that - everything is fine

Fascinating enough I dirty flash on my Mi8 & everything works fine! The notification bar around the notch is a little weird but it's just cosmetic, nothing serious!
Thank Xiaomi.eu's Team so much!!!

I have flashed on Mi8 - after wipe all - including data and system. Camera launches and works without problems. I am just downloading cloud backup from Mi Cloud. Later I will check GPS and Android Auto - I hope that PIE has fixed the black bars DPI problem on AA. If not, I have lost 2 hours getting backup from my phone.

Installed this update on my Mi8.
Had to do a factory reset due to bootloop after dirty flash.
All apps / functions are working - no issues so far.
But I faced some lags when switching between applications or on the homescreen or the notification bar etc.
These lags didn't appear on the previous release - hopefully xiaomi is working on the performance and lags...
Anyone else facing such lags on Mi8?

And just one other question:
Can i use a TWRP backup of the /data partition to restore all apps after doing a factory reset / full wipe
or will this not work?
How are you doing your backups of all apps if you need to wipe all?
(I don't want to root the device - afaik Titanium backup is requesting root, so this app won't help me in this case I guess^^)

In my mi8 I didn't noticed any lags. The only things I saw were:
* No quick reply on Whatsapp;
* Boot time is taking more than 1 minute;
* Some icons doesn't fit well like Android 8.1;
* Can't hide notch;
* Battery life is not as good as Android 8.1.

Updated from MIUI 10 Stable to my Mi 8.
Had issues opening the display settings, my onscreen dialer didn't come up handling incoming and outgoing calls.

After factory reset as instructed in the main post I couldn't encounter any problems on the Mi 8.

Android Pie seems fast and stable, battery drain looks ok so far.

Thanks to the developers!
You mean the factory reset option in miui settings or Twrp?
Thanks
