THIS IS AN ENGLISH SPEAKING FORUM
The SIM used tells it what networks to look for.
This whole things just a placebo.
That is not the normal course of events, but 3GPP makes allowance for the SIM and "default networks" to be read if required.
The correct sequence is that the "available networks" data to be read firstly from the "last network used" memory location, then the SIM, and finally from the "default networks", which is what this topic is about.
If there is a "bug" in the Baseband, it may well be reading always from the "default networks" list, rather than the "last used" or SIM network list.
Were you "roaming" in Barcelona (non-Spanish network SIM)? In the case of network roaming, the SIM settings are never used.Yeah I'm pretty sure that's not how it works on the MI8. I was in Barcelona over nye and network mode was set to LTE/WCDMA the entire time....and when I went indoors or some place without 4g/3g reception I lost network access.
If it was just all configured by the SIM card shouldn't 2g fallback have worked ?
The "CDMA" is not unexpected, as in one Base-station equipment vendor, there are default parameters for inter-RAT handovers for "CDMA", so since these have probably been broadcast to your device at some time, the device would have retained CDMA as a valid network configuration."Additional Settings/Backup & Reset/Network settings reset"
I tried it on my Max1 Prime helium.
It did reset all my wifi passwords and saved wifi networks, but not any of my settings.
The mobile connection was not noticeably interrupted, none of my settings seem to have been reset(?).
I didn't notice anything else just as I did it, but there appeared 4 files "ramdump_modem . . ." in the folder ramdump.
These might have what you need, I found no "TD-SCDMA" so far, but well "CDMA" in a lot of strings, with registering and unregistering of various "handlers", testing, etc.

It will not mean it is trying to camp or handover to CDMA.
Same here with Mi MIX 2S. Some Calendar are disabled for syncing. After enabling they sync for few minutes. After a while they got disabled again.Google calendar don't sync!
It's an official bug. You can confirm it here: http://en.miui.com/forum.php?mod=viewthread&tid=5153292&mobile=2Same here with Mi MIX 2S. Some Calendar are disabled for syncing. After enabling they sync for few minutes. After a while they got disabled again.

The 3GPP "expected behaviour" considers that you would never have network roaming without the UE having been registered somewhere else, therefore the UE would have "last used network" in the memory location.
I checked my MiMix2 last night, it has the LTE/TSCDMA/UMTS setting, and the UE Capability Information message shows the LTE, UMTS and GSM carriers, as expected.
There is no reference to TSCDMA in this message.

This rom work *no-support-for-this-app-on-this-forum* on your note 4x?HI to everyone. First of nothing thank you for all your work on this roms. I love them.
Well, i have a Redmi Note 4x and Mi Pad 4, with this update now I can disabled system apps on smartphone, but that option doesn't works on Mi Pad 4, are you going to add on future?
Thanks again and sorry for my bad English.
OK there's definitely something ****ed in the MI 8 baseband. That is not the normal course of events, but 3GPP makes allowance for the SIM and "default networks" to be read if required.

On my Mix2, when both SIM's (or more precisely TxRx1 and TxRx2) are configured for TD-SCDMA, they both lose service.OK there's definitely something ****ed in the MI 8 baseband.
Try setting your network mode to "td-scdma only".
In theory the phone should just fall back to a working 3g connection.
My redmi note 4x does indeed immediately fall back to 3g and stay on 3g when network mode is set to td-scdma only.
My MI 8 on the other hand will just loose connection. Appears to keep searching for a network that doesn't exist.
I bet your mi mix 2s will also fall back to 3g...
how do you install the update?? when i install it will stuck at fastbootMi8SE with AOD on
Sometime it turn on and show lock screen without any notification or touch
