Xiaomi has finished support for the Mi5. There are no updates for this device, so the security patch is so old. The developers of the eu ROM use only a ported version of the Mi5s to provide a new ROM for the Mi5. But they have no way to deploy a security patch.

Still problem persists with recording video - when record video in landscape - file is played vertical - only manual enabled rotation helps..

Installed on my Mi 8. No issues to report so far. Battery life seems great compared with previous week. Dirty flash using normal wipes and orange fox. Thanks as always to the Devs.

My only question is this. The 3d pressing of app icons on the home screen (i.e. 3d touch style quick actions). Any ideas how to change them back from being bold to normal font? Minor irritation, but if anyone knows please advise as I've gone thru all of the system settings.

Since a long time, security patches for Mi5 (gemini) hasn't been updated :-( Is an update planned??

And big problem since the same long time: W-Lan passwords are resetted after restarting the phone.
I think Version October 2018 was the last one that saved the passwords after restart. But since end of 2018, every restart deleted all wlan passwords :-(
Is this bug already known?! Bugfix planned and/or coming soon? :-(

Yes, no Problem here, try to install within magisk then, apply and reboot.

Wait, what's the error? Missing sqlite binary?
No clue about Q, but i don't see a reason why it shouldn't work.

Did you test it with the current version or is it your experience due to an old version?

In the old versions e.g. 9.7.25 it was the same, no sound, only vibration. In version 9.8.10 a sound is played, even though the sounds are deactivated and the smartphone is on mute.

Can someone please test whether a sound is played or not?

I'm already on 9.8.15 on Mi 9 SE but updater app show that there is an update available, when I click to download it say that last update is already installed.

We have "no way to deploy a security patch"? Both Mi 5s and Mi 5s Plus are also stuck on October 2018's security patch, so I'm not sure where you pulled that made-up theory from...

Hi.Is there any way to fix Google Pay (with or without root) and the voice match for OK Google Extra button doesn't work for me either.

There's is Magisk package floating about that fixes google pay.. Gpay lite sql fix.. requires sql lite for arm devices to be installed..

As for Google assistant..

The Xiaomi Global rom is poor in comparison to this rom.. I need Google assistant, I drive a lot in my job may have to sell this phone..

So disappointed. I upgraded from mi6 to this mi 9 phone

No good for me without Google assistant working properly..

Really!?! Ohhhh why did my mi 5 3/32 always delets the saved wlan-passwords :-(
Should i make a complete reflash from an much older version to update then again? But i don't know from what version to begin...of course is it possible to flash an older version now via TWRP while using the newest version 9.8.15?!
