I create a backup with Red Wolf TWRP before every update - this morning it was no longer possible! Error message: cannot mount memory
Only over fastboot with the original TWRP 3.2.3.0 a backup was possible. Now I also installed the update. Consider if I should flash the recovery of TWRP as a replacement for Red Wolf.

TWRP won't load after flashing Android Q on my mi 9 and after reflashing it through Fastboot, the phone stuck at boot, which version of TWRP will work on this phone, cause without TWRP noone can flash through ADB!

Just a heads up, on my mi 9 i formatted data with mauronofrio twrp and then flashed 9.8.8 android q build. All my files are visible in twrp so a full format is needed. Not a twrp fault. I dirty flashed before that on top of 9.8.1 build and my files were not visible.

you can update from P to Q.. but next update will have to be via adb or hope for new TWRP with Q support..

Or external Sdcard (otg USB key) is possible ?

I can confirm that with mi 8 lite.
