error in the patch

hi roenano

i am trying to run your latest patch for nexus s for Arabic, and i used the "manually on pc patch" but it gave me this error:

Failed patching framework.jar, the patching tool will close now. please contact 'roenano'! Quitting

P/S: i already copied the 3 files to the input directory from the latest version of miui 1.10.28.

NO roenano, when I get hte CMD screen, I do enter the ROM version which is "1.10.21"
BTY, on the screen of device selction it does not show "Galaxy S" so I chose "Other", is this a mistake.

roenano, it seems the problem was in my pc, because when I changed to another pc the tool worked

i 've tied your persian RTL patch (latest one and also others ) on my miui ROM but it doesn'y work,how can i fix it?
note that when i ve made this patch and installing it, my miui rom DOES NOT corrupted and works properly ,but your patch doesn't work on my incredible s

Try the third patching option (Patch rom zip), it should work!

it gave me mortscript error; like cannot create folder, cannot copy, cannot unzip and ...

I open commands.mscr do what code said line-by-line manualy and it worked!

P.S: I run it under Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit, maybe error caused 'cause of this :/

I have 64bit Windows 7 for more than two year and I've never experienced any problem from you script since you started it!!

you've probably installed java for 32 bit or have set it as a system variable...

For those who were having the strange error of "not being able to create ...etc"

after some sniffing .. I have got the solution & it Worked!!
The Solution is:
Copy the 3 files (java.exe, javaw.exe, javaws.exe) from "C:\Windows\System32" to "C:\Windows\SysWOW64"

& it should run fine


Note: I think that you only need to copy java.exe but I am not sure

I'm happy to say that thanks to some great devs work (see credits at the bottom), the RTL patch for Arabic users have been improved a lot.

Thanks to the great work of "BrightIdea" at XDA, from now it's possible to patch every libwebcore.so file automatically.
The patch is included in the tool now so the generated zip will include a full Persian/Arabic RTLFix.
(Thanks to Madmack too, I stole some of his code for implementing it to my tool...)

Please note that many arabic users are updating the MIUI latest ROMS, and we are all interested to have the arabic RTL Fix and we can read arabic in SMS, Application names and mostly Browsers whether it is stock or 3rd party like Dolphin HD.

Kindly update for us the package of the script to be compatible with latest MIUI versions.

I have the obsession of updates, whether there is new MIUI i will update right away... til the version 2.2.3 i was able to get online ready RTL fix but after that 2.2.10 and 2.2.17 i was not able to find any online and i tried patching the original ROM zip .. everythign went fine and then i update the zip but still the arabic letters are not connected.

i really apreciate if you can help in fixing this issue as i need it urgently.

And best regards for the efforts done in this.


EDIT: Ok i tried to manually get the files from the original MIUI ROM zip and i followed the instructions for the patch, then using CWM applied that zip fix manually and it worked.. i wonder why the zipped rom didnt fix the problem.. anyway.. thanks for the help and i appreciate if you keep any updates still.
