Beware of free shipping from China

i've purchased a Xiaomi tv box from them recently and paid in full right away using paypal and i chose the free shipping method that they stated they will provide and i don't mind the 16 -30 days waiting time to ship to my country. so over the past 16 days, i've asked them about my order status and everytime they relaied me with upgrading to the express shipping for extra $ and saying that ill recieve my order faster. i denied and kindly asked them to ship my order using the free long wait time shipping method. now 16 days had past and my order still hasnt ship yet. iasked them again last night and they replied wih the same fuxking answear to pay them extra for express shipping. i deined once again and asked them to hurry up to ship out my oredr. today i got the replaied them saying they counldnt procee my order! WTF IS THAT!!!!??? so i filed my paypal complaint for my refund andi m here to warn u guys overthere! ibuygou will not ship your order with their FREE SHIPPING method and try to lure u to pay for express shipping when u counldnt wait for the stuff u order. BIG WARNING for u guys!

I've ordered a few items with the free shipping and I never had any problems. Just a side note: I only ordered cheap items, like a car kit or screenprotectors, with the free shipping. More expensive stuff always with DHL.

well paying DHL or EMS will ruin the cheap price tag Xiaomi product stated. wih that kind of $ might as well buy a Sony, Samsung, Apple flagahip. remember ibuygou already make $ being the middle man. there people selling xiaomi phones at lower price tag with free shipping on my local ebay site. all from taiwan. with that kind my experiance i had. i will nevef buy from them ever again.

I've also ordered items before through free shipping, but this were just some accessories.
If I'd pay more than 80 bucks then I would go for at least registered mail. If China Post doesn't deliver the package then you'll never know who to blame.
I can imagine ibg prefers the dhl shipment, but they should not force you to use it.

it's not they didn't update the status. the problem is they didn't even thinking about shipping my order. the order still havn't shipout after 16 days of payment confirmed. all they does was taking care of those who paid for express shipping 1st and i'll not be suprise that they will claim they shipped it. quited doing business with these kind of peopple. dont buy phones from them u will find a cheaper deal on ebay from a taiwanese supplier with lower price and free shipping.

Oh boy I was wrong.I am an ibuygou avid customer as I'd purchased my MI2 as well as some accessories with them without any glitches until this last order more than a month ago. I posted my order but after couple of days it was not yet updated in my account so I sent a message inquiring of the status & got a response not to worry & the item is on the way. Having a good experience from them before I trusted that I'll be receiving it soon. Couple more days & it's close to a month & still have not receive the item so I followed it up & the response was quite a shock because the person who responded was asking for my paypal transaction because the order was not yet confirmed. (It's close to a month & not yet confirmed when I already paid my dues on that in my credit card?!!) So I sent the transaction id & got a response the next day that it's already dispatched. I presume I'll be receiving it in the middle of this month or more. Having said all these my big question now is what's happening with ibuygou????

i rather be dealing with alibaba.com or ebay from now to order Xiaomi products. i got my refund back today so i'm looking for another souce to purchase my Xiaomi Box 2.

I also have some problems with that "free shipping" on ibuyhou. I think that they should not list this option for any item more expensive than 40 $ (for example)
Yes, it's a way to catch the attention of customers to offer a low price, but I won't recommend anyone buying something expensive without registered shipping. You could easily loose all your money. And ibuygou knows this, so they should stop offering something that it's not recommended, not even by themselves.

Yes, they are a reliable online shop, usually with good service but when you choose "free shipping" then you can have problems like big delays.

china post r slow buy they WILL offer tracking number and insurance. ibuygou just doesn't care or doesn't even offer that kind of service to buyer. i hate the fact that they held my order untill i agree to pay for express shipping and once i denied they automaticly refunded my money without saying anything. i rather find another source to purchase Xiaomi product in the future.

Slowness is expected. I ordered accessories with Ibuygou couple of times & I received it within a month. Now in my last order it's close to a month & it was not even dispatch from their warehouse.

I always choose the dhl option, it's fast and only 4 bucks more than the first normal / good shipping option.

Got my stuff within 4 days.

depends on what u ordering. they qoute me $26 us dollars for DHL on top of my $76 purchase price for the new generation xiaomi tv box. that's $102 with shipping combined. offical price for the tv box was around $50 us dollars, do the math, do u really willing to spend th extra $? asked people how much they charged them for DHL shipping for xiaomi mi2s? it would be same as me or even more.

If you order such things it's usually in bulk.

Whenever a bunch of gadgets and gear accumulates that me and my girl want we order it all at once and of course pay shipping once too.

For the occasional ten dollar small fry it's of course extremely ridiculous.

But you get what you pay for, forget the free China mail crap... Unless you are fine waiting 3 months plus risking the chance of not getting your item at all.

This isn't the shops fault however... China mail is known to be unreliable.

this has nothing to do with ibuygou, you're bad mouthing an online vendor for a conscious choice YOU made. my sympathies to you though, at least you only lost a cheap mitv and not a mi2s or mi3!

Well I bought a case for my MI2 from fullcramall and still haven't received anything yet. Its almost a month ago I paid the bill but still nothing. Anyway they say Singapore Post is having problems, so the only thing I can do is wait. At least it only costed my € 8, but it's still frustrating. My replacement screen with DHL shipping came here (Belgium) within a week.

I'm just sharing with what I've experienced. You're just making the wrong conclusions.
In the end, free shipping can be a hit or miss, and isn't depended on the seller.

The problem here is not a delay in the shipment, but in the order processing time. Ibuygou did not dispatch the item to any post service.

I had a similar problem when I bought an extended battery for my M2s. I chose free shipping, and after 2 weeks it was not processed, so I wrote them and they told it will be shipped the next day.
Some weeks after, I was still waiting for the battery to arrive, so I wrote them again and they told me that free shipping was not recommended, so I should pay 20$ extra for DHL shipping. As you can imagine, I was very angry at this point and asked them to send the item with Registered Airmail with no extra cost. And finally they agreed, I had my battery 2 months after paying for it... And I think I could be still waiting for it if I hadn't write them...

It has everything to do with ibuygou. Kindly read what are the complaints. It's not about the slow China mail, in my case it's about the order they said have been shipped out where actually it was not (yet). Ibuygou should listen to these complaints to improve their services & attract more customers.
