Mobile sees the SIM but you have no signal?nal?

Download this package:
Android 14: houji_network_fix_A14 HyperOS 1.0
Android 15
: houji_network_fix_A15 HyperOS 2.0

install in fastboot:

1. Unzip the ZIP file on the PC
2. Connect the mobile phone in fastboot mode to the PC
3. If you are using a Windows PC - Run the installation with the windows_install_fix.bat script (select the installation script according to your PC OS)
4. wait for the mobile to reboot into the system
5. done

install in TWRP:
1. install in TWRP (OTG-USB)
2. reboot system
3. done

This patch must be done after every ROM update.

(The tool uses the current modemfirmware.img from the EEA ROM.)

In my device
Xiaomi 14 ultra - global stock rom
I notice sometimes there is no signal, on place which should be,
After switching from 5g to 4g as a preferred network, the problem seems to gone..

Does that seems related to the solution above?
Should i try it as a solution, or is that relevant only to xiaomi.eu rom?

The solution described should not related to SIM, but to eSIM only, which should be amended accordingly?
Some details regarding the regions differences can be found here, see "Bonus:" below.

Thanks for the clarification. Actually I wasn't aware of any additional SIM issue, as I was obviously falsely convinced that the missing eSIM feature was the only difference in modem baseband's hard-/software of the region versions...

What should be correct is, that the "modemfirmware.img" of any global ROM version could be used within the patch, but I'm not 100% sure about that, as mentioned already. :emoji_shrug: Can you please confirm if this statement ist correct?!

Btw, for the time being I'm using the modemfirmware.img of the slightly newer OS1.0.3.0.UNCRUXM, instead of EEA, which works without issues as well.

- I have tested only Global, EEA, RU, ID, TW which work.
- I think OS1.0.16.0.UNCEUXM is newer than OS1.0.3.0.UNCRUXM.

Thanks for that, I'll try to test them too.

Is there a general rule for when a ROM is called "global", in order that their modemfirmware.img should fit?
Or do we have to test different ROMs one by one, by try and error? :emoji_thinking:

I think it is not absolutely necessary to test all versions.
Generally, Global modemfirmware.img should work everywhere.
And since the xiaomi.eu ROM is aimed at EU users, I use this file from the EEA ROM.

Installed EU on a friends Xiaomi 14 today, started to panic a bit, thought I broke something, looks like there was no reason to worry!

I don't manage to flash the IMG through TWRP.
Does anyone have a clue why not and how this may be possible?

I prefer to do it all on the phone (usb OTG)and not need a PC.

Are you doing this?

1. Unpack the zip file, so you have the modemfirmware.img on your OTG storage.
2. Boot to TWRP
3. Select "Install" and then the "Install image" button at the bottom
4. Select your .img file, and then select the modemfirmware partition (if there are _a and _b variants, do one first, and then go back and do the other)

I haven't tried this myself because I use fastboot to update, but from what I could find, this should be the way to do it.
Please report back if it works.

I did like that, only maybe I tried a and b at the same time only, not sure.

This patch must be done after every ROM update.

If you are updating via fastboot, you can remove the modemfirmware.img file from the ROM.
Extract ROM >> images >> modemfirmware.img >> delete

If you do this, you don't need to use signal fix afterwards.

Thank you. I understand. I am just curious if the fix will be added directly into the ROM (either by incorporating the global modem image or using another fix).

Already answered.
I assume that only very few of the ever increasing number of global newcomers are really aware of this statement of Igor Eisberg.
This general policy should be part of the FAQ, as probably every newcomer with a global device will ask exactly the same questions about the eSIM basebands here...
(the very same for me, btw. :emoji_stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:)

There is a new EEA version, the OS1.0.20.0.UNCEUXM, should the firmware for the modem be updated? On mine I did.

Are these files from the global rom or the eea rom?

I wonder, because i extracted the files from global rom "OS1.0.11.0.UNCMIXM" and with these files my frontcamera wasnt working anymore (face unlock).
BUT the files from "OS1.0.6.0.UNCMIXM" are working fine.

Normally global should work, right?

I'm using a global Xiaomi 14 with xiaomi.eu ROM (stable / 1.0.36.0)

Is the EEA version the way to go here?

I'm using a global Xiaomi 14.
