Hello,

Recently my Mijia Dafang camera is making weird colors...
See enclosed picture.
Note that the image is actually split in 2 vertically (between the purple and the "normal")
And note that the purple part should be on the left !

I have tried to reboot the camera with no change.
Firmware is up to date 5.5.1.421

I have not tried to reset as with the image split, I might not be able to do the connexion again...

It's been like that for a couple of weeks now.
Everything else works fine.
What can it be ? bad connexion somewhere ?

Thanks for your help

Check cable is not damaged (USB), also does it do the same in all lighting conditions or just in dark settings?

Hello Mark,
Connection is WiFi so I don't see how the usb cable would affect the image ?
I will try with another cable.
Image issue is the same for both day or night settings.
Thanks for your help

ah ok, just wondered if the USB cable to the camera powering it may be defective that's all. If the condition is the same in the day and night then this would possibly suggest a sensor defect. Does shining a light at the camera change the purple at all? or moving it to another area of your home / office perhaps?

Clearly a connexion issue inside.
I unplugged it to shake it (gently or not).
Plugged it back and works fine now !
It's a mystery. I would not be surprised to see this issue coming back soon

could be the connection / cable as I was saying before. Perhaps leave it as it is and see if it does it again also avoid moving it just in case it is something else.
