Gmail Widget Missing

I installed v2.2.24 the other week, from full wipe and could not find the Gmail widget in the widget drawer.

Updated to v2.3.2 (over the top of previous ROM) and still no widget.

I don't want to do another full wipe if I can help it.

p.s. I tried uninstalling Gmail, but it seems its locked down and I can't remove it

Try installing the latest GAPPS

Look harder Google is your friend for this.

I don't want to be downloading the wrong thing or something that doesn't work with Miui.

The only thing I can find on Google that looks viable is from CyanogenMod. Will that work?

Installed the CyanogenMod 7 GApps zip package. Still no Gmail Widget. I have a Google+ and a Google Docs widget, but not Gmail.

I have the Gmail app, v2.3.5.2.

Any other ideas?
