[HELP] Merging ROM and Language Pack

Hi!

I was wondering if there is a proper way to merge a ROM and a language pack in a single zip?

I tried to just merge the files (overwrite the apks from the langpack in the rom archive) but this doesn't work directly (phone will bootloop if I only flash the merged package). On the other hand it works if I first flash the base ROM, boot it, then flash the merged one. This however defeats the purpose of merging obviously... is there a way to merge it in a single zip without problems?

just merge /system and /data folders with the rom... and overwrite all by langpack, except META-INF folder...

Mmmm, that's what I was trying actually... but it doesn't boot, adb reports errors with permissions and mismatching signatures... I'll try again now and report back.

Nexus 4. I retried on a different port and it seems to work now. So basically it didn't work for the miui.com version of the rom, but it works on your version (miuiandroid). Thanks for your help.

lol you didn't tell me you are mixing releases... Yea our langpack is only for our release... Simple... Miui.com is odexed, our deodexed... You cant mix that...
