issues using external TRRC microphone

Hello!
I have a Redmi Note 11 with:
- MIUI Global 14.0.1 (vanilla)
- Android version 13 TKQ1.221114.001
- all the apps up to date
Trying to connect an external mic via jack (Rode smartlav+, TRRC), and the phone's OS goes heavily lagging and almost no responding for minutes after connection.. Tried my old phone, on MIUI12, and everything worked fine.
Maybe anyone knows something about the roots of this problem? Thanks.

Okay.. Now I'm Xiaomi EU ROM user.
Installed this build xiaomi.eu_multi_HMNote11_V14.0.3.0.TGKMIXM_v14-13
Everything is up to date. But I have the same issue, which is:

I'm trying to connect an external TRRC microphone (Rode smartlav+) via jack, and the phone's OS goes heavily lagging and almost does not respond for minutes after connection.
On connection, the phone shows an "earphones connected" icon on the bar. After I disconnect the TRRS, and the lagging stops, the phone is still showing that icon and any sound output doesn't go back to the phone speakers.

Would very much appreciate help!
