[KERNEL][MIUI V5/QDTXX] Stock kernel with init.d support / fstrim

Not open for further replies.
I've uploaded the kernel for MIUI 3.5.10 with the following changes:
- cleaned up sysctl execution (no seperate file in /system anymore)
- kernel.conf is no longer executed by the kernel, it's moved to the init.d folder
- some improvements to kernel.conf
I've uploaded an addon for WIUI to enable kernel.conf on WIUI ROMS. see post #2

Thanks dude! Sincerely appreciate your work!

I am currently trying to port the universal config interface to the Xiaomi Mi2.
It will replace the kernel.conf feature.

It's comparable with kernel.conf only easier to maintain and to expand.
It's configureable using an app.

It will take some time and maybe I won't succeed but building the application works so there is a change it will work.
I will do my best.

wonderful news!

BIG NEWS!!

I've succesfully ported the universal config interface to the Xiaomi Mi2.
Also the app to configure the kernel is 100% working

Now it's a matter of adding a bunch of features.
Below you will find the features I am planning
- set default CPU governor
- set max scaling frequency
- set min scaling frequrncy
- set default I/O scheduler
- configure read_ahead_kb and nr_requests
- enable/disable slice_idle for CFQ scheduler
- configure fifo_batch for deadline scheduler
- enable/disable sysctl, mount no-atime, zipalign
- probably some more

All the above will replace kernel.conf.
These new features will be available at 3.5.17 kernel

will new "uci" :) for kernel 3.5.17 available inside miuiandroid rom release tomorrow????
It won't be included inside the rom but as a seperate download.
Not everyone needs these features.

thanks, but what i dont understand, is if that program are similar to trickster mod
There are features of XTweaks that are the same to trickster mod.
But there are also features which are not in trickster mod.
Besides that the features of XTweaks are focused on Xiaomi Mi2 only.

I'm curious, not knowing too much about android development but would this Kernel open up the possibility to be able to Overclock a device?

No, kernel sources are required for that

Release is delayed, sorry for that.
I have no ETA in mind yet, I hope in a few days.

I need some more time to finetune it and add some more features.
Problem is that I have a personal project (for my education) that has the highest priority right now and takes a lot of time.

I will explain the current status.
Everything works, the problem is that the application is pretty old and static.
The application's target is Gingerbread and higher.

I am not an android app developer so my knowledge is very minimal.
I try to clean up the UI but most of it is using old Gingerbread elements and hard coded elements.

I am now at the stage it's acceptable.
Using the MIUI V5 theme doesn't look that well in my opinion so it's holo light for now. But everything can change.

Will that kernel be compatible with stock android qdt10?

I will look into that. If it's possible then yes

Edit: I've looked into it. The QDT10 boot.img structure doesn't allow kernel repacking.
If I change the structure it won't boot. Edited initramfs is gettng to big.

Hello Wajk, any chance for WIUI for SGS2? i've used your rom until official V5 came out for sgs2 and I loved it..
