Mi 8 EE - CN Version

So I've been playing with the idea to buy /import a Mi 8 EE from a chinese shop.

But I ended up reading about flashing and unlocking the bootloader thing. Locking the bootloader after flashing a global ROM will result in a brick of the device (thats a nice info - but not the main problem I guess).

Furthermore people are complaining about, that Netflix, Google Pay (not Play), Snapchat, Mario Run etc. isn't working on their devices with unlocked bootloader (Chinese ROM or Global ROM [for Mi8]).

So I've come across Xiaomi EU ROMs where it should work. Basically I am confused, can someone verify, that flashing xiaomi eu ROMs to a Mi 8 (or Mi 8 EE) will result in those apps (Google Pay, Netflix etc.) working?

EU ROM is basically Chinese ROM with added google apps and netflix will work, you have info about passing SafetyNet tests in every recent rom release thread.
