[MI2/MI2S][KERNEL] MiCore 010 for MIUI | Linaro | UV | OC

Be warned that voltages are not working for everyone!
This is because some chips differ from others.
I got these voltage settings from @Wajk who investigated these voltages a few days ago.
These voltages are working pretty well for me. [...]

Mi2 or Mi2S ?

Is piston problem fixed?
Thanks a lou for your superb work...

I also had a factory reset with 008m V2.

Mi2S 32Gb running WIUI 4.1.10. Cleaned cache and flashed the kernel over 007m.

I have Mi2s 32go and the last miui. Everything's fine! Redmanner thanks for your amazing work!

I also had a factory reset with 008m V2.

Mi2S 32Gb running WIUI 4.1.10. Cleaned cache and flashed the kernel over 007m.
Probably still V1 because Goo is slow when it comes to syncing new files

Hello, this kernel seems a great upgrade over the standard one! Does 008m solve the gpu frequency problem that was in 007?
Also I can't understand "SD card read/write is very slow": Mi2/s doesn't have an sd card. Does this refer to internal memory in general or to virtual sd card (if I'm not wrong, sdcard is emulated in /sdcard0 which points to internal storage)?

The last thing yeah, virtual storage is not as fast as the stock kernel.
I already increased speed in 008m but still not what it should be.
Fequencies of 008m are still double 400mhz. Same as MIUI stock kernel.
Still need to find that out

ATTENTION:
I have uploaded a newer version of 008m which should be compatible with older roms (3.12.x).
Those who have already flashed the previous version don't have to update to this newer version.
If there are still factory resets with this newer version let me know, sorry for the inconvience I didn't expect those wipes to occur.
Well, people should always make a backup before flashing something like a kernel or rom, the backup option isn't there just for looking at it! :)

Thanks a lot for the work you put in to this!

I will test it on stock 4.1.1 tomorrow, undervolting is interesting. One question to which I forgot the answer, this will override the power settings in miui/wiui/stock right?

Which app are people using to undervolt? Thanks.

This flyes whit stock aosp here.. very well donr redmaner, your work its superb, and undervoltinh + eco mode its perfect!

It seems that it doesn't work with TDB enabled.
It makes /data_root as /data, but not /data_root/system2, so it looks like a factory reset.
But 007m works fine.

Sorry for my poor english.

I have TDB enabled and it works just fine on my phone.

I try it again. and it doesn't work again. When I flash 008m, it just like a factory reset. Then I flash 007m back, the settings and apps are come back.
My phone is Mi2S,.
system1 is aosp.
system2 is MIUI 4.1.17.

That is strange. It should work then.

Can you redownload the kernel and try again?
Sure, the filename is still "kernel-MiCore_008m-r20_aries.zip"? Will report back to you in a few minutes.

Edit:
Yet again, factory reset. I've cleaned the cache and dalvik this time (to be sure), but the results are always the same.

Maybe I should install Wiui first to revert back to the original kernel and after that flash 008m, because now I'm flashing straight onto 007m.

Tried on last miui, mi2s 32gb, and got factory reset as well. No problem anyway, restored all my apps easily with built-in backup app. I tried setcpu for voltages but seems to be not compatible, which app are you using for that?

I have to report factory reset, too. Flashing the new 008 version over 007 on MIUI 4.1.10.

i also confirm factory reset with wiui 4.1.10 with r20_aries file.

I was too excited to do a backup and to see that there was 2 more pages reporting this issue :p
