Update is update, no wipe by default.

I want to change the Facebook and google chrome icon back to default, then I remove "/system/media/theme/miui_mod_icons" directory with TWRP, it works fine when it on MIUI 11, but in MIUI 12, the system apps icon also change. any other ways to do it?

Hello, is it my impression or have they all moved to the stable rom from the beta? Do you recommend changing or staying on the beta version? Formatting everything is a real hassle

It does work with my Air 2S but not always... Sometimes it appears everytime I open the case and sometimes it doesn't even show a whole day...

Hi I have a weird problem. My Mi6 is on MIUI12 beta. And ny Mi8 is running MIUI11 stable. But if i use my Mi6 as hotspot, my Mi8 will said connected but no internet. Same thing happened if i switch the device role. Only happen after i flashed my Mi8 with MIUI.EU rom. Other device such as car radio and other phone can use hotspot from either my Mi6 ir Mi8 running on MIUI.EU rom. Any ideas how to fix? Thanks.

Did you format the Data partition from twrp and type Yes to confirm?

My mistake was not formatting the partition.

I made a full backup of the device (just by dragging all files in the Internal Storage to a backup drive). If I just drag this backup back into my phone and replace all the files currently there, will it work?

If you refer to the settings and the saves of the programs, no, you must have the root and a Titanium type application. However, if you have backed up to Google drive you will have all the applications installed after logging in to the Google account. You just have to remember all the passwords if you don't have a manager type bitwarden.
