Hi there! First of all I want to thank you for the amazing ROMs you create and I'll be very happy if someone can tell me if it's possible to downgrade from Xiaomi.eu 12.5.4 to 12.0.9...btw I have a Poco X3 NFC (surta) with ARB 2... I'm having extremely battery drain with this ROM and even worst is that the recent app function crashes all the time...so I need to go back to 12.0.9 where everything worked wonderfully. Thanks in advance!!!

Guys, while waiting for the MIUI 13 stable, I am curious on the installation process - which TWRP will be required, and how the process will go? Is there a reliable and stable recovery for A12?

The MIUI version is irrelevant to the ROM installation method.
TWRP for A12 does not work. The ROM will be updated using the fastboot method.

Yes, format data is required when moving from China / Global to our ROM...
Thanks for reply.

Reason I asked is because, if my memory is correct, previously for me (hermes Reno2 / clover MiPad4) 'format data' meant only wipe data partition and not format the entire sdcard. Admittedly this was within TWRP and referred to as 'clean flash'. But maybe I am mistaken in my memory.

Assuming my recall is correct (big if!), am trying to update my understanding with the new device/OS version and also wondering if Xiaomi EU Rom uses a different partition structure. Guessing here. Maybe it's the fastboot install method. Anyway as lots of people will be using fastboot again, further clarification might be useful for others as well. Especially if wipe (format) /data has a different meaning now.

AFAIK, wiping means deleting files and folders (on Data partition) while formatting means re-establishing the file system (on Data partition).
In the first case the old file system remains, meaning that also the old encryption, set-up by the previous ROM remains, while in the second case, the new ROM sets its new encryption from scratch

That's the big difference compared to the ancient Android versions where Data partition and internal memory were not encrypted, hence it was enough to wipe (just to delete files and folders, with no need for formatting)

That's the reason why nowadays, when swithching the ROM, one must FORMAT Data, not just wipe it - and it applies generally for switching the ROMs, not only for switching to Xiaomi.eu

You can find number of users on forums and channels, reporting a bootloop and crying for help, swearing they did everything 'correctly' when they (just) wiped Data while switching the ROM (and once they finally get convinced they need to Format Data, then they confirm successful booting)

Thanks for the info. Probably explains why installing LineageOS on my MiPad 4 Plus ended up corrupting the data partition and required reformatting sdcard. Including all my TWRP and Titanium Backups & movies!

Extract META-INF/com/google/android/updater-script from the ZIP.
Remove the first line that looks like this:
Code:
getprop("ro.product.device") == "lime" || abort("E3004: This package is for \"lime\" devices; this is a \"" + getprop("ro.product.device") + "\".");
Save and import the file back to the ZIP, replacing the original.

Hi, concerning the redmi note 10 pro: does the allways on display work as intended and really stays allways on with this rom (...not only 10 seconds as in the stock rom)? Thanks for your help :)

Hi all,

I have 11 lite 5G NE global version and I want to flash a Xiaomi.EU version for this device.
I'm currently downloading 12.5.8.0.RKICNXM version which is fastboot.
On the first page of this thread, it is described that this version of MIUI is based on China rom.
Does it have GMS and can I use it on a global device?

Yes, it has a GMS and can be used on the Global version of the device.

Can we get the latest MIUI 13 on the latest stable version 12.5.16 like an OTA or do we need to do a clean format and reinstall. Please advise. why is that they have released the weekly rom miui13 and not the stable rom ? Any idea. like will there be not a stable rom for miui13 ? I am confused. Please advise. Thanks. MP

As the name STABLE suggests, Stable ROMs are released once they (weekly) become stable. Weeklies are based on CN weekly BETA releases

There is another topic for the latest weekly, go there and read user opinions. Be aware Xiaomi.eu are released for various phone models, hence issues/opinions may vary accross the models

Since weekly with MIUI 13 should be newer, you could try dirty install - if not working, you would need to Format

Hi guys! Just got my phone two days ago, it´s my first xiaomi device and so far I´m stoked! The first thing that I did was ofc to start the bootloader unlock process :)

I have a somewhat of a noob question, so feel free to flame me! My 11T Pro is running on miui 12.5.9.0 RKDEUXM, I think that I got all info correct and that I still can flash a RKDMIXM release, correct? (the specific version I believe is correct is xiaomi.eu_multi_XM11TPro_V12.5.10.0.RKDMIXM_v12-11-fastboot.zip, am I right? (tried to find info in the threads, but I suspect that this question is to idiotic for anyone else to ask...

sorry and thanks! Happy new year!

Edit: think that the answer is that it is the correct one, just that I have to remember to do a full wipe and not a dirty flash, am I right?

Hi. I have a Poco f3 pro with EU stable ROM. I have just got a security alert from my Google account about my authenticator app data being copied. Upon checking my account security, my phone seems to be showing up as a pixel 6 not a redmi k30 pro. Any ideas what's happening? Has the developer used a fake signature on the device for authentication?

Hi there,
unfortunately i can't find the information about the security patch (stand) for the redmi note 9 pro (joyeuse) in version 12.5.2
in the original miui version 12.5.6 EEA it is already Nov. 2021

who usually delivers security patches faster?
xiaomi.eu or xiaomi direct?

thanks for info

Xiaomi.eu is based on the Chinese ROM (or Global, depending on the device) but the security patch is not modified. So, it mostly depends if the Chinese ROM exists and is more updated than your local ROM.
