Still wrong.

Windows 8 and 10:
  1. Open File Explorer (open any folder).
  2. Click the View tab.
  3. Select "File name extension"
  4. Optionally, you can enable Hidden items.
  5. Filename extensions will now be visibl
I did this and the problem is the same
c:\adb>fastboot boot twrp.img
cannot load 'twrp.img': No such file or directory

you did something wrong while renaming. but you showed us the details and now we know the issue :)

perhaps you did not copy twrp.img into same directory as fastboot

open cmd.exe
cd c:\adb
dir

copy output

Can someone help me update A11 stable xiaomi.eu rom to A12 stable xiaomi.eu rom on MI10?
I have tested all of those twrp and not a single one can decrypt my phone... so i can't install A12 rom.
I have never used fastboot roms, only recovery/twrp ones.

I have tested:

3.6.2_12-Mi10_v5.6_A12-umi-skkk_edb747f0.zip
twrp-3.6.2_12-yarpiin-umi-v3.img
twrp-3.6.2_12-yarpiin-umi-v2.img

Not a single one worked. It always throw password error. I have tried pattern/password/PIN.
I have tried to disable password too but then it doesn't decrypt and i can't see the folder on my phone so i can put new ROM in there.

I might oversee the correct answer but i have the MI 11 Ultra and the newest stable is a Recovery version. Do i now have to flash it with the old twrp i have installed or is there a new one (since twrp is according to the first post incompatible with A12)

you are right… but you have to rename twrp.img.img to twrp.img

copy twrp.img.img twrp.img
OMG. I was in a wrong adb directory. That was the problem. But i have another problem
After this
c:\adb>fastboot boot twrp.img
creating boot image...
creating boot image - 73246720 bytes
downloading 'boot.img'...
OKAY [ 1.528s]
booting...
OKAY [ 0.229s]
finished. total time: 1.758s
The phone exit from fastboot but everything is dark and i need to reset the phone to system.

then try another twrp… step by step :)

Update ROM to TWRP A11.

A/B device: TWRP A12 is part of current A12 ROM.

non-A/B devices : You can flash TWRP A12 after booting A12 system

I have a question, so moving forward are roms gonna require twrp or we will have the option to choose between fastboot and twrp? because personally speaking fastboot has been easy fast stable and reliable and for a newbie i wish to keep going the fastboot route, so can we expect a fastboot version for 13.0.7 for the poco f3 or only twrp version?

There won't be any multi-format releases.

Via twrp..... You find the newest twrp for Mi10 in the first post....twrp-3.6.2_12-v5.6_A12-umi-skkk.img

I had this same issue with the Poco F3, looks the same because you dont lose signal, but you lose data service and data calls, the quick fix for this is to drop the preferred network type to 3G.

For me to fix it i had to block one LTE Band (B66) that was causing this issue, i had this issue on and off for a while, and it started when i switched from Global to xiaomi.eu ROM.

You already have unlocked bootloader, but you will need root, you need LTE Discovery app to see if it happens when an specific LTE band is being used, after you have identified which one then you need to lock it (block phone from using it), i used Network Signal Guru to do it, i dont remember the exact steps 100% but you just need to use their LTE band lock feature, after i did that im still able to use 4G/4G+ and even 5G bands without any issue.

I took the process from here, hope it works for you, your screenshot looks exactly like what happened to me.

Root is only required to modify the bands, after that you can remove it cause it will cause issues with banking apps (that happened to me), it doesnt affect the modifications after.

Thanks for the tip. I will try. I ended up going back to the Global rom.
