Also,
Are you asking whether you really really need to follow instructions?i have the same question.have you already flashed?does it really need to format?
Dude the problem is not just stable or dev rom, it's mandatory to format every rom you downgrade.Installed the 22.12.19/21 on my XM12 pro, can I install the stable update over the DEV build??
Did you check if you had the permission settings regarding device informations enabled in those apps?Updated my 12S Ultra from 13.0.11 to the first stable 14 ROM. Below a few points on what did not go smooth. Hopefully that might help to the respected deveopers:
1) After the upgrade when my smartphone has booted there was a pop up that something did not go well during the upgrade. The message with details has disappeared a few seconds after I clicked on "details"
2) Launcher settings such as "desktop" shortcuts and folders have not restored. Fortunately I could partyally restore it from Xiaomi cloud.
3) Some menus such as "Device" setting hanged up when I tried to call them out. Fixed by its own after a few hours.
4) Non-native widgets are not visible in menu.
5) Microsoft applications like Teams, Outlook etc cannot start. Tried to clean up cache and even tried to reinstall it from a scratch - nothing helped.
With all that said, I'm now copying my photos on PC in order to reinstall the firmware from a scratch because my business apps are really required to be working.
In any way, before doing the upgrade I realized all the associated risks and writing this post with intention to highlight possible issues for those who have not upgraded yet and for developers who (I bet) worked hard to make it working like a charm
I just checked after I reinstalled the FW from a scratch. There were no permissions and application did not even try to ask for it. I gave the maximum level of permissions forcivelly, however it did not help. It seems my solution would be to install 3.0.11 back and wait for a more stable release.Did you check if you had the permission settings regarding device informations enabled in those apps?
I'm asking because I had a similar problem on version 13 that was fixed with that
Not "lost", just modem doesn't like that downgrade for some reason. Flash modem.img from MIUI 14 and you will get your IMEI back. After rolling back from 14 to 13 the IMEI will get lost.
sorry,i just noticed it 's been clear in the first post.thx.Are you asking whether you really really need to follow instructions?
No, you don't. Just don't come complaining if something breaks.
Not in the online store... Tap the "search" icon on top-right, then scroll down to "Android widgets".4) Non-native widgets are not visible in menu.

Does this help?UPDATE#3: After all apps from Google Play were installed, I decided to set up MS apps and... They do not start again. Even without Xiaomi Cloud impact, after some amount of time (or some event I do not understand yet) MS apps stop working as expected. It's becoming more and more interesting. I will dig into that tomorrow. If you have some ideas, please share
Regarding the widget - that helped. Thank you!Not in the online store... Tap the "search" icon on top-right, then scroll down to "Android widgets".
Does this help?
Sure, make a log.Regarding the widget - that helped. Thank you!
Regarding MS Apps, unfortunately it does not help. I tested this approach and even tried to give maximum permissions. It does not change the situation. I tried one more time after the latest update attempt. Still no luck.
Interesting fact here is that applications like Word, PowerPoint, Excel, OneDrive behave in a similar way. When I try to start them nothing happens. I see a blank screen or Outlook logo at the best and nothing is happening.
If you're interested to troubleshoot the issue, I could collect logs.
Is there a specific instruction I should follow?Sure, make a log.
notifications work? apps only update when you open them? for example whatsapp only receives messages when you open it. is anything with facial recognition on? thanks for the feedbackCiao,
Dispositivo: Xiaomi 12, cupido.
A: xiaomi.eu_multi_XM12_V14.0.2.0.TLCCNXM_v14-13-fastboot (primo miui 14 stabile su Android 13)
Tutto sembra funzionare perfettamente.
