This weeks recommended updates include:

1. Optimisation of the Backup and Recovery mechanism to improve on data safety and efficiency of use.

2. Improve Phone efficiency e.g. Opening speed, search and sliding fluency.

3. New SMS function, add large number of contacts for group messages, improve performance from up to 3 times the current method

4. New Music function, single mode support for background play

Performance optimisation work is still in progress, next week's SMS operational efficiency will be significantly enhanced, in addition Desktop (Launcher) will also see further improvements to fluency of use.

Full changelog will be posted on Friday as usual.

Memory usage is a bit high now too... running the rom without reboots for a day and ram goes as high as 690 MB!! almost 200 more than Samsung's stock ICS roms.
Is that cache?? or what??

Launcher performance improvements are welcome too!! :)

PS, any news on Themes??

Thanks.

It would be nifty to have individual Phone Ring and SMS sound level toggles like it was GB...

Now, since theyve been meshed into one, it's not possible to have two separate volume levels. For people who like to have their phone ringtone volume at max and their text volume not so much, this is problematic. I get a lot more texts than phone calls, but when i do, they're important hence the need for the loud volume. But, i also get 5073739 texts a day, and that nototifation sound is SUPERSUPERSUPER loud now.

Good work guys !!! But i have a small question, i get this weird error while trying to install an app from google play. Error message: couldnt install on usb sotrage or sd card. What could the problem be, might it be because of the monitoring thing or something else is blockin it, cus the app is liek 20mb big but for examle installing smaller apps is not a problem at all.

So any option of enabling the "low power music player" setting in the Mi-One? I remember having seen this setting under Battery Manager options in GB rom, but after coming to ICS, somehow i couldnt locate that under any settings ! Would love to save some more battery with this setting :)

Mark, when will you make ICS for DeSire?
PLS PLS PLSSSS
By the time Xiaomi is ready to add another device to the ICS mix, a new device comes out. In this case the HTC One X. Soon the SGS3 will be out. I think its safe to say, any phone that doesn't get ICS from its manufacturer won't get MIUI ICS officially.

I hope they figure something out, becouse miui based on sense is really not working well.
