No Korean font / all Korean text is deleted

Using official Build MIUI-JLB5.0 JRO03L (android 4.1.1), any Korean/Hangul character is completely omitted from all text fields. This applies to everything as far as I can tell: the stock Music player, an app I just built in Eclipse, Opera Mobile browser, and the stock Browser.

Does the English-only ROM offered here support a Korean font? If so, I'll make the switch. (Otherwise I'd prefer to avoid flashing)

Fixed by installing DroidSans.ttf, DroidSansFallback, and DroidSansFallbackFull from here https://github.com/android/platform_frameworks_base/tree/master/data/fonts

For what it's worth, the first thing I tried was deleting I think DroidSerifNormal, based on http://productforums.google.com/d/msg/chrome/2rrFeHn0xOY/5Us74Q6qaNcJ, but that didn't work, at least not until after I got the 3 above fonts from github.
