[pokemongo] Xiaomi Mi6 Problems

Hello,
I would like to know if anyone using the Mi6 tried to play Pokemon go.
Even with the latest google play & services, the game won't connect to gmail account & always display 'gps not found error'. Although gps is working flawlessly. Also I have a Mi5 & the game is working with the same gmail account. I made sure the app has all permissions.

Any ideas are welcome.

Safetynet is most likely the issue, as many EU mi6 come with a custom rom preinstalled...

I updated to 8.2.2 (stable) which was offered OTA and Pokemon Go and Android Pay now seems to work (although I haven't yet attempted a transaction, I simply managed to actually configure it and safety net test says working).

yes safety net on global stable rom and locked bootloader will give you certified phone on play store and this is very good you can download netflix, play pokemon go and also use android pay

my mi 6 passes safetynet and works with pokemon go. After installing the latest xiaomi.eu rom it actually relocked my bootloader and removed root.
