Hi, I just got my HongMi.

And it does seem legit. However I did buy it from Aliexpress and after finding this site (saying that there are a lot of scammers on Aliexpress) I got worried.

I saw a similar thread but I have not had any problems yet.

Any good way to check if it's real?

According to AnTuTu I have a MT6589T with SGX 544MP, the correct 720 x 1280 resolution.
I haven't had any problems with lag or crashes (except for swedish xperia keyboard, installed a different keyboard and everything was fine)

AnTuTu shows about 15700-15800.

Any help would be GREAT! (The seller promised that I would get a full refund without sending it back in case it was fake)

If you downloaded antutu from playstore. Then you got à real red rice :)

I just noticed that AnTuTu report that my phone lacks:
G-Sensor
Gyro
Linear Acceleration
Rotation vector

Are these not things my phone should have?

Well first of... dump that Antutu. Its the worst app you can find to get hardware specs.
Just grab something from Google Play like: Hardware info.

Ok, thanks for the input!

I got Hardware Info and this is the dump from it.

If anyone could take a look at it and get back to me or post their own so I can compare them myself that would be awsome...

Thanks for all the help guys!

This is real Hongmi.

Wysłane z mojego Nexus 7

for determining original/fake its enough to make screenshot.
if resolution 1280*720 - original phone
if any other resolution - fake

Thanks for all the help guys.
It does seem like it's the real thing.
I've tried a CWM for HongMi and it runs fine, haven't tried flashing any rom yet as I'm at the newest already.

If anyone is interested who i bought it from just send me a PM and I'll link it.
(not sure if it's ok to post links to sellers, also i can't guarantee that yours will be original just because mine was)

From whom you bought?
Witam :)

I got it here:
http://www.aliexpress.com/item/in-s...5Ghz-Mobile-Phone-1GB-RAM-4GB/1472059942.html

I picked the silicone case as well... however it was so ugly I don't even use it (but it was free :D)
I also payed extra for DHL shipping, placed the order on a Friday got shipped out Monday and I picked it up Wednesday. (well worth those 10 or so extra dollars)
Phone came declared as 25$ phone and went past customs without any problems (I live in Sweden so I don't know if the mark it differently depending on what country it's going to)

As I said before I can't promise it will be real, but I got a real one.

Best of luck to you!

EDIT:
I added a picture so that you can see the "beautiful" silicone case :D

Another way of finding out if the phone is a fake or not is to enter the security code, which is located behind the box, in the website.

There is a sticker with a scratch surface. Under it there is a 16 digit code. Enter this code to chaxun.xiaomi.com and it will tell you whether it is original or not.
Normally, the time you do that, the message wich will appear will tell you that the code is used for the first time OR

您所查询的防伪码已被查询过XXXX次 ---> Security code your query has been inquiries over XXXX times

On the site above, there is a field for the 16 digits and then a field where you have to do a math calculation (eg 5-4 and you have to write 1)

Hi i want to ask is real or fake this Hongmi i bought
Imei 86nnnnnnnnnnnnnn

I entered the code in the site and the response was that the phone is genuine.

Now, every time you do this, there is a counter that says that "Security code your query has been inquired XXX times "

Nothing to worry about!
Unfortunately, I had to find out the hard way for a phone that I bought for a friend. I am now in contact with the seller, to find out what can I do.
