Redmi Note 6 Stuck In Load Screen Wont Pickup Qualcomm Port, Adb Server Out Of Date

My redmi note 3 pro was flashed with the native Android Marshmellow from a friend.
Several apps wouldn't safely work on a 'rooted' phone, so I went to his SU software and unrooted with also deleting some .su files as seen on a help page.

Now its stuck on the load screen.

Tried to flash it using MiFlash, but it says its locked.

Tried to flash it another way but the Qualcomm Port/disk display doesn't come up with the phone in edl (flashing red light), or which i hope its in edl. The port does come up when i put the phone in Recovery mode???

Taken the phone apart to unclip/clip the batter and usb to put in EDL...plugged it in but the ADB now says the server is out of date.

Because Android Marshmellow native was on there...would i need to flash this phone another way?

Please any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I would like to get back to MIUI Global if I can.

Wow. How did you guys get marshmallow to install in the first place?
