In an attempt to update the os of my Mi2S, I have ended up with a device that will boot into Mi Recovery, but it seems there's no way out of it.
Could the USB connector be broken?
Will the 'Wipe all data' option make a difference? I'd rather not wipe everything.

- The planned update.zip install results in an error. "Error applying update."
- Rebooting just takes me back to recovery.
- I can charge the phone through USB, but the device is never recognized by Windows/Device Manager/MiFlash/Mi PC Suite. This seems to be the main problem.
