TV Mi Smart P1 43" LED 4K (l43m6-6aeu)- HDMI connection lost since last firmware update

How did you manage to enter recovery mode?

- Turn off the TV and unplug it from the power.
- Push and keep pushing the OK (the central round key) and the BACK (⇽) button.
- Without releasing the remote keys, plug the TV to the power and wait for the Recovery Screen to appear. Do not release the keys until the Recovery Screen appears (if you're unable to enter recovery mode this way, read the alternative method below).

ALTERNATIVE METHOD TO ENTER RECOVERY MODE
If the previously described method to enter recovery mode doesn't work for you, there is another way to do it using a Windows PC connected to the same LAN/Wi-Fi. Go here -> https://xdaforums.com/t/tool-all-in-one-tool-for-windows-android-tv-tools-v4.4648239/ and download the Android TV Tools V4. Follow the instructions on the site to install it and connect it to the TV. Once installed and connected to the TV, select 7, then X, then 10, then 2. The TV will reboot into Recovery Mode and you can then follow the above instructions to install a new firmware.

Thank you very much I have successfully installed the Android version (11) 7981. Everything went smoothly, I have not encountered any kind of problem (such as the lack of signal or green lines on the screen. For the help I will also donate you something. :)
Do you also know how I can remove the update notification on the TV?

Hi Guys,
I hope I get some usefull information as I am struggling with my TV same as you. From time to time it states HDMI connection has been lost, but you can switch off and on and everything works again normal. So there is no hardware or cable issue. The annoying part is only, screen is getting black and HDMI connection lost appears at any time after watching e.g. a movie or documentary for some time (usually after 2 to 3 hours, not immediately).

I tried the recovery mode reset, but I stll get the Android version 11 and I cannot reset to version 10. As my TV is still under guarantee (purchased in 2022 with 5 years warranty) i contacted the dealer, who wants to send the TV to Xiaomi service center, which will take 3 weeks. I am not convinced, that the service team, there clearly understand the issue, if they do not test for prolonged time.

Any recommendation, how I could install version 10?
Previously prior to the recent update, the TV worked for 3 years flawless without any issue.

Hi! I'm glad to hear that it solved your problem also! Unfortunately I don't know about the update notification because now I keep the TV unplugged from internet as I use it only as a PC monitor. I'll try to find some info.

Hi! The random lost HDMI connection is the main problem that came out with the latest firmware update (ver. 8590). As other users have said and tested, if you want to stay on Android 11 you can install the 7981 firmware following the instruction that you can find in the first post and that should solve the HDMI random connection lost issue. From time to time the "Update available" notification will pop up, just ignore it. I'll look for a way to also stop those notifications if there is one.

I found a way to turn off the update notification. Select: Settings/Device Preferences/Apps/Show All Apps/Show System Apps (down below). Scroll down (to the middle) until you find Google Play Services, turn off the notification and restart the TV. Enjoy

But,.... then other apps are affected. e.g. Netflix will not work anymore!

Wow and I was thinking it's due to messy Nvidia 50xx drivers.
I have the same problem and don't really want to downgrade cause this is not something a consumer should have to to with their product.

So you're saying it's better to keep the TV with various problems than to do a downgrade where you can fix all the problems?

Not at all what I am saying.
I am saying people should not accept something as downgrading their device as a solution. Don't act stupid. I know it's the internet but come on. Don't put words in my mouth.

I don't agree with your opinion.. We found a way to solve the problem, now it's up to the people's if they want to accept it or not. I wish you a good day.

Hi, There is no need to disable, but simply to turn off the notification. (as you do on the phone) If you disable it is obvious that the applications will not work.
