Unavailable IP address & MAC address...wifi module/chip on the Mi2S is dead?

The wifi toggle also grey in colur and cant be activated. Connected to 3G also cant tether the 3G out as hotspot.

So does this mean the wifi module/chip on the Mi2S is dead?

Yes, he did (the phone is belong to my friend one, my one thanks God is still working)

He also downloaded the original miui v5 rom from the Chinese forum side and flash in into the phone also no luck.

Maybe his efs are broken.(these partitions do contain imei and mac addresses).
EDIT: if you give me a dmesg dump I can tell u what's the problem, wlan or efs.

If efs broken then nothing can do already? But he can make call n received calls, if imei gone, that is impossible right?

It was just a guess... to dump dmesg:
adb shell su -c 'dmesg' > dmesg.log

su -c dmesg > /sdcard/dmesg.log

U'll find the log on sdcard then

You didn't upload the log, just saying.
The forums wont allow you to upload a *.log file. You should rename to extension to .txt and reupload.

Which rom do u have installed? If the kernel is correct it seems your wlan device is dead.

EDIT: I would try to flash latest miuiandroid rom because it contains latest kernel and modem. If that doesn't work ur wifi device is really dead and u should send your phone to repair.

Stock MIUI v5 from china forum...now wanna flash latest miuiandroid rom...keep my finger cross...

We bought it in China on the shopping complex telco shop...and we are in Malaysia....I don't think got warranty...

He will have a damn expensive alarm and gaming device...and he lost hope on Xiaomi product already.

Yes, on stable Miui v5 open box...then update to develop version miui v5

now on miuiandroid version 3.9.20

How to disable reanable tdb ? WIUI will help? sure is not hardware problem?

I am on WIUI. Do you have clockworkmod? If yes, Reboot in recovery -> advance -> disable and then enable tdb. -> reinstall rom.
