unlock of new xiaomi phone

Hi

I already have a xiaomi phone, unlocked after ask to xiaomi.
If I buy in next weeks/months another xiaomi phone, can I unlock it when receive, or should I ask to xiaomi for unlock too ?

I have an account with two unlocked RN4X. Got a new RN7 a week ago. I had to login to my Mi Account on the phone, so that the phone gets linked with the account, then in the developer options enabe OEM unlocking and the other unlock slider (don't know the name, sry). Then I had to wait 7 days until the MiUnlock tool allowed the unlock (check after setting up everything, so it will tell you how long you have to wait).

And you didn't ask again to xiaomi for unlock ?

This unlock permission is for your account. So your account will be able to unlock phones. This has to be done once.
You can then unlock several phones with this account.
Oh and since some time, you now have to provide a phone number and a working SIM card in the phone you want to unlock (which sucked because my RN4 has microSIM and the RN7 has nanoSIM, but I had to use my RN4 for another week).
