Would you consider paying for the MIUI Weather app if it was made available?

I'll buy it! I've bought other apps that I don't even use for more than $1. I will buy it just to support the rom. :)

Progress update:

Much of the app is actually completed but we have encountered some glitches concerning the 24 hour clock and how the api handles same and next day weather sequences.

We (Me, Xacro and wowthatisrandom) are still looking at methods to improve the app, more in regard to the user interface as it was largely designed without us in mind, as many Chinese cities are two sometimes 4 chars long, the space on the grid they use is small, the layout is not in any xml we've encountered so we can only assume more reverse engineering is required.

Status in terms of miui.com and my work

I have and continue to be actively in communication with the developers, obviously right now they are busy with their own work which i FULLY appreciate. I have requested full source as one of the Group informed me that the developer who made the app is no longer with them. They are appreciative of the work all the development community of MIUI DEVELOPERS do here on the site and in the background. Nothing is being put down with a hidden agenda, i've made my intentions for the revenue very clear.

To those who have recently donated generally, thank you, as a definite gift you will be the first group of people to get the app when it is released in whatever final format it ends up in.

Trust us, the wait will be worth it for this lovely app. The animations alone as stunning!

Hi bejank, thanks for the offer, we have a suitable server, just i anticipate high bandwidth is all that the issue is. Should we need to look into redundancy of the API I have your details and will be in touch.

This is not required eunice3, if you wish to send a gift then please do, in no way am i suggesting that people should donate just to be placed in order of preference if this app is released.

I'd feel happier knowing the donation(s) we received are put towards resourcing the running of the site, my time, others time, the server and we have to eat sometimes when we hack code :)

Mark, I had asked a few pages back how to donate to the site. I have donated to the EVO developers but not to the actual site. Didn't even know there was a place to.

Please let me know where that donation link is. I am sure many will follow as well.........
 
@Markhuk: No problem buddy :) I was just wondering, (not) wanting any preferred treatment. I have never seen it in action and was just wondering is there a video of it floatin' around. Sorry for the confusion. I also need to know where the donation link is....

What's the ETA on the weather app Mark? Are we going to see it soon? I can hardly contain my excitement you're killing me!!! :D

No ETA, bugs need to be fixed before we even consider any form of a release schedule.

It is being marketed as "MIUI Digital Weather Clock", thus my question... Is it the genuine MIUI Weather, which is found in Chinese ROM, or the one that Mark is working on?
 
It's not the official, and not mark one! It's an leecher that take crédit for a bad app, that is ugly!

Nothing to do with MIUI-DEV.com that app, i'd like to be 100% CLEAR on this, this is NOT the application we are working on. I am getting full prior consent from MIUI Development Group in China before I do anything in regard to selling / making the Weather app available.

I am waiting to see if i am getting source code for the Weather app since they have no developer now to work on this app as he is working on his own things and ins't part of the MIUI Group anymore.

Our app will be 100% the miui proper app, obviously with the modifications we had to make, we will of course do a walk-through of the changes when, or if the app is released.

10 GBP from Braeden with love. Only question Mark. Why did the donation link ask for GBP? I always figured you were from America or Australia. You mentioned 1 dollar as a suggested donation?
