Xiaomi.eu Multilang Rom For Xiaomi Mi5 (unlocked Bl Only!) Released!

Install the miflash version via fastboot. It will format accordingly. Worked well as a no-brainer for me with Xiaomi eu stable 7.2.13.

I tried installing via miflash and it didnt work, gave me an error so i tried with TWRP..
Are you sure i cant install via TWRP like a normal person?

Thats how i installed all my roms before

EDIT: Now my WiFi doesnt work, neither do the flashlight... f**k ME

Go to TWRP, wipe everything except internal storage.
Go to fastboot mode, flash the boot image, reboot to TWRP again, install zip with ROM, reboot.
Should be working now, if it's not you can try to format data in TWRP (all your apps, files will be deleted).
By the way, what error did you get in MiFlash?

I placed the zip in the Download folder, is that ok?
it was something like 0x00001, unknown error

Did you followed all steps for miflash with the packed version and 64 bits OS and selecting 'flash all' ? To me it is the safest as your device is crypted and need formatting. Next updates will be less disruptive.

So I need to format before flashing the zip via twrp? I'm confused :(
I just want my multi language rom

I did all the commands on the TRWP method except " select zip with ROM" because i couldnt find the rom since the device was encrypted

Alright.
If you don't have any mega important things on the device, go to twrp, wipe everything and format data, reboot to fastboot, flash boot image, reboot to twrp, install rom.

All my photos are backed up and stuff.
But if i wipe everything it will also wipe the rom ZIP and when i tried to mount it via TWRP my computer recognized it but there was no storage since it was encrypted

Alrighty, go to advanced in TWRP, select adb sideload, move zip rom on your pc to your fastboot/adb folder.
Open CMD, type "adb devices", your device should be seen as "sideload", type "adb sideload "zip name"".
Done.

You mean, do that after i wipe right?
After wiping will it be unecrypted?

Yes, after you wipe, your phone will be clean, I mean, there will be nothing in the storage, so you won't be able to flash rom normally in TWRP.
It should be decrypted after formating data.

If somehow this bricks my device is there something i can do to factory restore it?

yes, it will wipe everything on your phone, you can also do "format data" in wipe section.
After that sideload the rom zip, reboot.

I tried to wipe on advanced wipe and got this error "Unable to mount storage"
But i managed to do format data, is it enough?

EDIT~: After formating data i managed to advance wipe.
Now my pc recognizes the phone internal memory, can i just move the ZIP there and flash?

It flashed in like 30secs but said no OS installed when it asked to reboot, i didnt see that and i let it reboot...
Now it's booting at the Mi spash screen and says Android... at the bottom..
Did I screw up?
Nope, you did not.
Do you see three dots at the bottom? If yes, just let it boot, it can take up to 15 minutes, so don't worry and stay calm.

Thank you. I installed roms since my first android back in 2011 and it was easier back then.
Just TWRP- wipe- flash.
This is my first Xiaomi phone :)

And yes, theres 3 dots :)

Yeah, updating the rom will be a lot easier. Just go to TWRP, flash the rom package and done. No need to wipe anything.

to me yes you need to format. This is the only way I played with mi5 for this migration, I cannot comment on TWRP way.
miflash problem must be solved also, it must work, I'd recommend to not push back with miflash in certain cases oit is the only tool that makes it.
