Bro, whatever you are doing for this phone, i can surely tell you onething that you are on a suicide mission !

Hell yeah, you are torturing your Phone to the Max. How could you squeeze so much of juice out of Mi2S ? even i have the same device, but i can't come anywhere near to 26k mark with this ROM... How could you do it man ?

his antutu version is 5.1 , mine scored 31k on that , on normal version i think you can reach 30k overclocking cpu&gpu , his version of antutu:

i'm not overclocking anything... just zipalign apks and defrag SQL... i don't know how much i can accomplish by OC... but i'm not a fan of OC at all

I made repartition.zip but its not tested.
Reports are welcome :)

i have review your zip, but i think isn't right, my friend. You need more than "parted" binary to make repartition works. Besides, it's more useful if you add all binaries to the zip for those systems who didn't have those from the beginning.

further edit: according to this thread: http://xiaomi.eu/community/threads/mi2s-extending-size-of-storage-partition.21391/
you will need tune2fs and e2fsck binaries as well

just installed rom from scratch and all my problems gone. :)

is there some advices for tuning like prefered governor, i/o sheduler, readahead, mpdecision vs intelli and other tweaks?

i've said : on normal version i think you can reach 30k overclocking cpu&gpu
we can test that when xperian will release his new kernel

Why would I convert partitions to ext4 when this ROM operates on F2FS?

But you are right I should put format option but only for cache since its ext4 cache.

hi guys, how about battery life? mine it's not the best in 6hs without touching and nothing, only wifi drop 15%, about 3% per hour, i think it's too much, only for me?

thanks

Same here after a night not on charger , 2.9%/hr. I think I saw a record low (for me at least) 1.1%/hr in a previous version.

Maybe the t2w and s2w can be made user enable/disable? So people can chose extra battery life or t2w?
Thanks for all Dev work so far.

What script do you use for Zip align & SQL database bro ? - any guide from you on this would be highly appreciated.
Thanks in advance. Except these 2 i am also having the same settings as you are having it.
waiting to get an help from you soon.

Use android tweaker 2 from play store... It's free. On the app, go to "tools" and there you will find "zipalign" and "defrag SQL databases"...

[10/08/14]Where the download link?
Wait for some time, i think he is uploading it to a host. Just hang around this thread you will get it before tomorrow.

There's no 10/8 ROM... I don't know why xperian do this kind of misleading things. On 10/8 he put a testing flashable repartition script which is far from good to make all the process of repartition. See changelog at OP.

To @XperianPro , you asked me why you have to make partitions ext4 with the script. That's because recovery tools works with previous formatted partitions and doesn't recognize partitions without format making the script useless....

so battery life is not at Aosp level?

no, also phone gets hot(ter) quickly. That's at least what I feel.
I also had to force reboot twice due to touch screen not registering touches anymore. Luckily the buttons still work and a looooong press rebooted the phone. I blame the t2w for this.

But it's a nice, (more or less) stable and very fast ROM, good to keep as my default one, at least for now. I'm sure a lot will change and we've only started finding out how to even optimize more our Mi2(s).

I hope @Xperian will continue incorporating fixes (like the new mixer settings/latest Adreno drivers, etc ...) so the ROM only gets better, without lots of 'afterZIPinstalling' ... If that verb would ever exist :D

And for all who drooled (like me) on the +30K score in Antutu posted here few days back: Only if you use Antutu X (version 5 and beyond), then you get also +30K. I was using the latest 4.x version and that one maxes out at 26.8K, without any special tweaks. So without paying attention to the version of Antutu used, numbers are not comparable like that. It also has fooled me, not looking at tha Antutu version used...

I agree with the above. I love all the extra features but would like a way to toggle tap2wake

That's why I keep on 6/8 version... Stable, no battery drain, no problems with touch and very fast and responsive. (PD: t2w and s2w are very unstable features)

well, for me works great the t2w and s2w features. The battery it's not the best but it's an awsome ROM, maybe in a future updates, the performance of battery will rise, i hope :D

p.d: the best governor is intelliactive?

thankss
