To all the xiaomi.eu team, thank you for the great job !
I'm enjoying MIUI 9 on my Mi5 and all is good :D The rom is super smooth and the battery consumption seems to be much lower than previously on MIUI 8.

One quick question: did we loose the ability to change the default search app?
I used Google as the "global" search app (you know, when you swipe up or press the dedicated widget) before.
But now on MIUI 9, when I go to the default app settings, it seems I cannot set another app than the one from Xiaomi...

Am I missing something here?

Hey guys! I just got my phone (Mi 5s 3/64) and installed the 7.8.24 fastboot rom and tha xiaomi.eu rom, but it get pretty hot in normal usage. What should I do? Can I downgrade to 7.7.20 without factory reset (dirty flash)? Or should I wait for the next weekly?

All is well, thank you! But there is no possibility to choose a home screen (default desktop). Why was this function removed?

Hi,

I tried to install this ROM on my Mi4C but the phone is now stuck at a blinking Mi logo screen (no Android logo and no loading bar). I installed TWRP3.1.0 (tried with the newest twrp as well but got error message when flashing which says E:unknown command, and phone stuck at mi logo) and tried wiping Davik, cache, system, data both before and after flashing and nothing worked. I am able to enter to fastboot mode and recovery mode as well. But phone just does not boot up. I have waited over half an hour and still nothing.

Help anyone?

Thanks!

I flashed the twrp that you sent the link for but when i tried to boot to recovery, i get the following message "FAILED (remote dtb not found)"

Hmm... Headphones are not detected on Mi5 pro. I've tested with both Piston and Samsung ones and both work in my Mi Pad 3.
Previous version worked.

No issue here on Mi5 Pro with headphone. Tested with Xiaomi Piston 3rd Gen.

Check your bootloader still unlocked or relocked

Hi everyone, miui 9 for redmi 4 prime closed beta has available today for few users, when xiaomi eu release it?

My bootloader was unlocked but not done officially (followed the guide to unlocking mi4c bootloader without verification on XDA forum). I did some researching and since I was going to go from xiaomi devlopper rom 6.1.7 which is a lollipop straight to nougat, I was told twrp would get error?

I could not possibly put a rom into a fake rom, but I managed to flash china dev rom 7.8.24. I had problems with the decrypt root.
How can I now put the eu rom in? If I allow root access, will I be again decrypt in twrp?
Tnx for answer!

Unlock bootloader > Flash TWRP recovery > Boot to TWRP recovery > Format data in TWRP recovery (it will remove encryption from data partition) > Reboot to recovery > *Copy rom.zip to internal storage while you are in TWRP recovery > Install rom.zip > Reboot to system > Done

*Also you can use ADB sideload for install rom.zip or USB OTG

I just do not understand this part...o use fastboot command to transfer zip file to internal memory?

It is not transfer but install:

In TWRP recovery: Advanced > ADB Sideload > Swipe to Start Sideload

While TWRP is waiting for ADB command then in PC open command prompt from ADB folder and run below command:

Code:
adb sideload rom.zip

of course rom.zip must be in ADB folder and rom.zip = renamed xiaomi.eu rom.zip

If you already officially unlocked bootloaer then follow this steps: ...

I tried and I get the following error
"E: Could not extract 'META-INF/com/google/android/update-binary'
Error installing zip file"

what should i do now?
