For Google Pay just needs safetynet passed state and certified Google play store. It is passed and certified with xiaomi.eu build

Did you try with different secure element position settings? For example HCE wallet?

Yeah, all of it. You cannot add to a payment card. I know about this setup. Maybe mi pay tails? I'm sorry for the previous one, the difficulty of translation.

try remove this line from build.prop
Code:
ro.product.cert=M1803D5XE

It seems that this change get´s "corrected" automatically. While beeing in TWRP the build.prop is changed, after a reboot (applied 644 permissions ) it goes back to normal, so the line appears again. Changed through TWRP

Any news? Are the devs looking in it or anything? Anything that we could to do help?

I see you are Mi Mix 2s tester, is it working for you?
Google pay not supported in my country. I use different contactless payment method that works fine...

Ok, thanks for your reply!
Still a chance we can get Google pay fixed somehow?

My 2 cents...
What if you ad a payment method through your account on the play website on a computer, not on your phone?
I did this since it was convenient at a time and the option showed later also on my phone to choose from.
(Don't have the 6/128 btw, so could not test it.)

Yes you will be able to select it, but not actually add it to the app as it will throw a "can't add this card right now" error later on.

Faced the same issue. If I'm not mistaken this bug with inability to add a card to google pay is present on all Chinese and Chinese-based firmwares.
Does anybody know, if there is an opened thread in official Xiaomi forum?

I opened one in MIX 2S subforum but the only outcome is that I'm not the only one and Xiaomi apparently isn't interested in fixing this issue. It's right here: http://en.miui.com/thread-2726119-1-1.html

Yes, that's exactly what happened to me. I tried so many times to get Google pay to work on both China dev and EU ROM but has always failed. The safety net check and everything else is all fine but it just appears that I can't add my card. Well I can add my card, but once I enter my details to submit and enable the card, it just loads and says something went wrong ( can't remember the exact message) so I'm forced back to global stable. Google pay worked successfully with global beta, which I used magisk to pass safety net but failed to do so on China and EU. Would be very grateful if they can look into the issue otherwise won't be switching to EU :( even tho I would love to, have used this ROM on my older devices. And btthe global version XA, so I'm guessing it's to do with the China ROM as EU is based on China dev.

lol.. sure.. Android pay works fine on our ROM.. doesn't on chinese ROM.

so topic closed

No, the problem isn't to do with the model or saftynet. I faced the same problem with my XA global model, too. It only happens on China and Eu Roms, the China Dev MIUI 10 open beta I installed had Magisk and passed saftynet. Using the Magisk module to pass safetynet check does enable me to use Google Pay on my global MIUI 10 beta rom. So in conclusion, I think that the problem lies on the China rom and the fact that Eu rom is based on China dev is what's causing such issue. The app works fine, even able to add bank card, but it faced some issue on the last step where it verifies the details with the bank.
I hope this helps! Thank you and please do look forward into this issue, I love Eu rom but this issue is stopping me from having it as my daily driver :(

I have the 6/64 model had official global installed, it worked fine. Switched to EU 8.17 and Google pay works fine.
Only problem I had was that I needed to manually ad the Playstore etc.
I did a full format and did set it up as a new device.
What I did was after flashing EU ROM fill in my Google credentials in the Google app, installed the Playstore and framework apk's reboot and all is fine. Credit card works, PayPal works, bankcard works. Even Playstore credit does get applied correctly.

Yes but you have the global model of the phone. The problem exists only for the chinese model
