No, its just a change, keep calm people.. it isnt the end of the world to wait another week or twoBut why Global is now the priority release as it gone public faster? Is it a change in the Xiaomi strategy?
It's not a matter of time, I can wait even few months, it's a matter of quality. There's some user reports that Golbal Dev is less bugged (of course it's device depended). Now it is first in public releases which suggest that it may become most important rom for Xiaomi inc. It would be better to not ignore it.
Yes, if Global should become dominant over China that would be a revolution.
One big advantage with Xiaomi.eu is the debloating, which at least for me (too lazy to root) is worth a lot.
How did you fixed idle battery drain?I dont like to root too, but I had to root my mix 2 in order to solve battery drain from android. It used to suck 20% of battery in two hours while phone is idling. Hope they will fix it in miui 10.
There is also plenty of reports to say Global is not as good / stable (Judge for your own self I guess), its all a matter of preference. I don't understand the fuss for MIUI 10 Global as it isn't even a proper finished MIUI 10 with all the latest Chinese ROM 'Developer' features. I'm sure as Xiaomi expands the ROMs will be prioritised differently but don't forget one key element... Chinese market is the priority market and the backbone of Xiaomi being able to go 'Global' so they won't ruffle the Chinese fans feathers too much for priority swings to GlobalIt's not a matter of time, I can wait even few months, it's a matter of quality. How did you fixed idle battery drain?
Battery drain can be caused by too many things, user habits, bluetooth, GPS and WiFi etc etc.. Screen on time...too many factors to point squarely at the ROM as all the issue : )Waiting a couple of weeks would not be a problem, but the latest mi mix2 roms have enormous battery drain; normaly I never had to charge the phone during the day, but the last 2 or 3 ROMS battery life is less then 8 hours (i'm not a heavy user at all). I hoped after 8-5 this would be fixed, but it is not. So now my phone is less usefull and I need to take a charger with me (which I never did). I have had an empty phone for a few times over the last weeks. So an update would be very welcome.
Battery drain started after the ROM update. No new apps, app updates or what so ever. Many mix2 users are facing the same problem. Normally 2/3 days and after the update in april max 8 hours. This problem also occurs in the China dev rom (base for xiaomi.eu rom). I am pretty sure this is a ROM problem. I will try to revert to an early version (but I need to wipe my data which is causing me a lot of trouble because I have several key apps for different Citrix environments) or go to the Global ROM. It not only seems to be a problem for mix2 users, but also other models are suffering from battery drain in the last ROM updates. I hoped the next update would improve this, but I am not sure offcource.Battery drain can be caused by too many things, user habits, bluetooth, GPS and WiFi etc etc.. Well, not entirely so...I agree on this 100%...There is issue with Mix2 on latest rom...If phone is sitting idle on desk while I work and I loose 25% of battery in two hours with bluetooth off, data off, GPS off and only wifi on (AP is 5m away) you cant blame user habits and there is nothing else to blame either
Well, not entirely so...
1. What background processes are running on the phone? Did you check them all?
2. Post a detailed bug report including battery stats, hardware battery stats etc to the bug forum.
There is likely an APP with background processes causing you to lose battery faster. As I said and will remain, not all issues are caused by the ROM, user actions, APPs and environment all factor.
Waiting for miui eu release soon!China miui is relased

We are awareWaiting for miui eu release soon!
all good dude ; )I fixed battery drain by rooting phone and freezing few services, dont rember which one it was three weeks ago. But cuplrit was google play services and android system. So if you consider google apps as third party apps, then yes its app related but I lood at them as part of rom, thats why I say there is problem with rom. I have total 10 apps on phone since i use phone for busines only. I also have first max with one of first betas of miui 9 and dont have battery problems.
And btw thank you for your work. Please dont see this as attack on you or your work I have been miui eu user for two and half years now. Rom is absolutely great, I love miui not all third party apps that they bake in it. Thanks again
If all goes well, today.any chance for miui eu to be released today?
please let me know if i should install new china rom for mi8 or wait for eu!
