This is indeed kind of annoying. Even if you select the classic theme, not all third party apps will be themed - WhatsApp for instance shows its original icon which is ugly and does not go well with the other icons. It used to be themed... Other apps will be themed but the icons are different from before. Instagram's icon is now round and has a heart instead of a camera, lol.

I'd just like the real deal. If I choose "classic theme", I'd like to have the old icons as they were.

I already got used to the new lockscreen clock, introduced a few versions ago. Even though I still think it's uglier than the previous clock. But these icons are harder to digest.

Use the miui 8 Theme icons suggested by @Kopas - it is working

Does anybody else have an issue with the phone refusing to connect to certain (very few) wi-fi networks?

For instance, I have a network at home created by a powerline wi-fi extender and my Mi 6 refuses to connect to it. When I select the network, I can input the password but then it won't connect, all wi-fi networks temporarily disappear and then it just reconnects to another one.

The only other wi-fi network with this problem is at my workplace.

It started to happen, if I'm not mistaken, when the builds for the Mi 6 started being Oreo based.

I don't know anything particular about these networks that this ROM doesn't like... It can connect to other 2.4/5GHz and WPA/WPA2 networks just fine. Other devices don't have this problem. Only my Mi 6.

I had the same issue, it might be connected to the channel the WiFi router uses ... Different countries use different channels, in Germany 2.4ghz is allowed for 1-13 if I remember correctly ... So I configured 13 on my router, but several devices with international firmwares (e.g. lineage os) always had problems ... Now I use 2, no problems since.

All working great on mi5 3/64 and magisk 16.4
I was using Magisk 16.7 with previous releases, but on this one it caused a radio issue , both SIM cards were going on and off forever...
came back to magisk 16.4 and it's good !

Cool rom. So far the only problem (from the past) I found is the gesture lag on Redmi 5 Plus.
Please fix it ASAP, please fix it ASAP.

Thanks. Yeah, these are the same icons. Only difference is that icons with shapes other than squares will have a white background instead of a dark one like before. Some apps like the Weather app look weird whenever there's (white) clouds, haha. But I'm not complaining. This is close enough.

It makes my options very limited though, since I can't change channels on my powerline dashboard settings, nor can I change them on routers that aren't managed by me - which is, well, almost all of them, haha.

It's still kind of annoying, since I could connect to these networks before, when these ROMs were Nougat-based.

I could try to make a full factory wipe and reinstall as a last resort, when I have the time.

I install the rom 8.8.3 on my Redmi 4 Prime..

I backup my apps...

I loose the:

Windfinder Pro
Acar Pro

I try to recover this apps, the system says that recover is complete but after this I cant see the apps anyware..

I try reinstall by playstore but I see the error -505..

I try install with files but installer cant install...

Anyone help?? Thanks..

I'm interested in a solution too! Because on our Redmi PROs some Apps "disappeared as well (Sygic, MoonReader, Threeme...)
And only Moonreader could be reinstalled....

Do any cancro (Mi3W/Mi4W) owners get a force close when attempting to access Settings > My device ..

There is a force close on tapping this menu entry upon page load.

I initially thought it could be caused by a dirty flash. Wiped dalvik cache and cache @twrp... Same deal.

Redownloaded ROM and reinstalled, whilst ensuring to wipe dalvik cache, cache, data and system. Same deal. Force close on 'My device' page load.

Thought I'd chime in here and get a few more confirmations before filing a bug report.

Trying to attach a log, only the 'Attach files' button within forum whilst using Mi Browser only allows attaching pictures taken with the Camera.

Also, I noticed the title bar for the 'Downloads' app is misaligned; not centered.

Hi, I did everything described... The Bluetooth work's properly on my MN3 device... Without any bugs, stopping normally when I've start the flight mode and starting normally, without any press button, when I've cancelled the flight mode...

Same here, can't connect to Mi Band 2. It doesn't stay switch on for a long time. Enable in Noti and then switch of automatic ally when trying to connect to Bluetooth device. Any fix?
