No. It is not.
Unlock the bootloader is just to allow you to flash new rom (custom) by TWRP or other recovery tool. You do not get root access by this.
Root is more. Check internet for details and difference !
Steps:
1. unlock bootloader - see post 1
2. install latest TWRP for your device with adb using your PC or MAC
3. reboot to recovery
4. format /data partition
5. reboot to recovery
6. copy latest xiaomi.eu rom zip for your device to phone storage
7. flash rom zip / wipe cache & davlik / reboot to system and wait ~10 min for new rom system to boot

in tucana the saturn superwallpaper causes lag throughout the system, changing it the problem disappears

magisk does not install on the latest version of xiaomi.eu weekley rom based on android 11, magisk canary is not compatible with android 11?
I have a poco f2 pro

Use the search function. This topic is mentioned again and again. I have asked John on twitter if he is working on an update for more android 11 phone models
 
I hadnt updated in couple months, so installed this and all is fine. It corrected an issue with the gallery where I was unable to delete stuff.
MIUI Cloud restored my settings, messages, calls, etc, but its a mess. Stuff I've long ago deleted and no longer want is restored. What the hell is the point of sync if doesnt restore things as they last were?

Also made extra MIUI local backup of apps, settings, etc as I normally would before new ROM install, and it restored properly. But you have to go through the whole new setup routine with very dim display which is annoying, since you cant adjust it until its finished. But other than that, great ROM, thanks!

I have the same problem on messenger.
The rest runs fine. I have some small fps drops from time to time but rarely. Mi10pro

I rencently format my phone (9t PRO) every since then only rom before 20.6.18 works when install a rom adove that it boot back into TWRP after 10 minutes .i tried other twrp version and orange fox and no luck and also i tried to flash all the rom from 20.4.30 to 20.8.13 in order and same results ..can anyone help

Did you format data not wipe in twrp, do you have installed magisk? Please write in more detail how do you install a new rom, if you install the last working rom is it working?

yes i format data, flash the rom and then install magisk 19
and also used the updater from 20.6.18 to update to the latest and it still loop back into twrp
rom currently that is working is 20.6.18

Why version 19?? There is a new version available for quite a long time now.
