[GUIDE][venus|star|mars] How to install Xiaomi.eu ROM for Xiaomi MI11 / Pro / Ultra

You have to hope that either a TWRP will appear soon or the community will provide a fastboot-capable variant.

Why? If I wanted to try to install the Global now that I have the eu it is no longer possible! Not even with the use of miflash pro?

Then I misunderstood you. So you have the EU model and want to flash the Global ROM?
I don't know whether it will be that easy to unlock without the bootloader.
The only thing I know is that without the bootloader unlock you cannot simply flash from global to China or vice versa.

I think if your bootloader is open nothing should stand in the way of trying.
Personally, I would try the XiaMiTool V2

I do not know the tool you reported to me, my doubt comes from the fact that it is a rom recovery, and not fastboot

But I still have one question.
What do you promise yourself when switching from EU to global? As a rule, the EU is supplied with updates faster than the global. It is also easier to deactivate advertising in the EU.
Otherwise there is no difference between the two.
If you want to do it "right", flash xiaomi.eu. Then you already have MIUI 12.5 and more features than the EU / Global will ever get.

Guys, I need urgent help. Could someone send a video or explain step by step how to install Magisk on MI 11 please?

Please, because I want to install RBoard Themes for the gboard keyboard
Pls. explain, what is the advantage of MAGISK.
It should be possible to have Gboard keyboard also without Magisk.

Pls. explain what Magisk is and why you need it.

many thanks

p.s. Can't wait to get my Mi11. 12GB/256GB

Rboard is a magisk modul for gboard themes.

I will not root my Mi11.. For my opinion the mi11 runs better

== How to install Magisk without TWRP (with "fastboot" Xiaomi.eu ROMs) ==

1) Extract the "boot.img" file in the zip file of your current ROM version (in the "images" folder)

2) Put this "boot.img" file in the "Download" folder of your phone

3) Download and install this apk on your phone to install the Magisk app => Magisk Canary (23015) [APK]

4) Open Magisk app and tap on "Install" button (first one from top, next to the "Magisk" word) => Tap on "Next" button for options => Tap on "Select a file for patching" method then "Go ->"

=> It will open the file manager app and you have to find and select the "boot.img" file (tap on the top-left menu then select "Download", you will find it here)

5) Start the boot.img patching process

=> When done, you will find "magisk_patched_xxxxx.img" file in the 'Download' folder (where xxxxx = random value)

6) Transfert the "magisk_patched_xxxxx.img" file on your computer (on your "Desktop")

7) Reboot your phone in fastboot mode (hold ' Vol - ' and ' Power ' buttons simultaneously) and connect it to your computer

8) Open a "Command Prompt" window (cmd) on your computer: type "cd desktop" and then type "fastboot flash boot magisk_patched_xxxxx.img" (TIP: you can only type "fastboot flash boot magisk_patched" and use the TAB key to auto-complete the name, or manually replace xxxxx with correct value)

9) When flash is done, type "fastboot reboot"

10) Done! Magisk is installed!

P.S.: I highly recommend to "Hide Magisk app" (option in Magisk settings to rename the Magisk app) but if it doesn't work ("can't install" error) => Go to developer settings and enable "Install via USB" option, then tap on "Hide Magisk app" to install "hidden" Magisk app.

P.S.: To pass SafetyNet, check my following post => https://xiaomi.eu/community/threads/magisk-v23-0-breaks-safetynet-and-cts.63678/post-634170

The simplest for you is if someone can share the patched "boot.img" (made by Magisk Manager app) for this ROM version. ;)

But you can do it yourself if you want to try:

1) You need to find the "boot.img" file in the zip file of your current ROM version

2) Put this "boot.img" file in the root of your phone storage

3) Install Magisk Manager app on your phone => https://github.com/topjohnwu/Magisk/releases/download/manager-v8.0.7/MagiskManager-v8.0.7.apk

4) Open Magisk Manager app and tap on "Install" button (Magisk) => tap "Next" (Options) => Select the 2nd method

=> It will open the file manager app and you have to find and select the "boot.img" file (tap on the top-left menu then select "Mi 11", you should find it here)

5) Start the install process

6) When done, you will find "magisk_patched_xxxxx.img" file in the 'Downloads' folder (where xxxxx = random value)

7) Transfert "magisk_patched_xxxxx.img" file on your computer (on your "Desktop")

8) Reboot your device in fastboot mode (hold ' Vol - ' and ' Power ' buttons simultaneously)

9) Open a "Command Prompt" window (cmd) on your computer: type "cd desktop" and then type "fastboot flash boot magisk_patched_xxxxx.img" (TIP: you can only type "fastboot flash boot magisk_patched" and use the TAB key to auto-complete the name, or manually replace xxxxx with correct value)

10) When flash is done, type "fastboot reboot"

Done! Magisk is installed!

:)

Thank you aboout tour explication, but is Very difficulty to me

If you have any question/trouble, ask me. :)

So there are so many steps that I'm afraid of making mistakes, you know. As the Mi 11 doesn't have twrp yet, I'm afraid of making mistakes and getting bricked

My question would be:

1- Open the Magisk Manager application on your phone or on your PC?
2- magisk_patched_xxxxx.img is this xxx what is written on the xiaomi mi 11 or will it be downloaded directly on the computer?
3 - is this "boot.img" to take from that file that we have on the PC on which we use fastboot to update, or is it inside the phone's internal storage?

I understand, I understand. ;)

That's why I made a "oneclick" installer for Windows (.bat file) => MI11_Magisk_Boot_for_Xiaomi.eu_21.2.3.zip (mirror link: here)

1) Boot your phone in Fastboot mode (hold ' Vol - ' and ' Power ' buttons simultaneously)

2) Extract my zip somewhere on your PC then execute "EN_magisk_boot_oneclick.bat"

3) Follow the installation wizard

4) Done! Install Magisk Manager app on your phone (if not already done) => https://github.com/topjohnwu/Magisk/releases/download/manager-v8.0.7/MagiskManager-v8.0.7.apk

You can check if Magisk is correctly installed in the Magisk Manager app. :)

1- Wow, seriously does it have the easiest way via fastboot which is just to run this file?
2- It is the same way when installing xiaomi.eu for mi 11 in fast boot mode right?
3- And it really works out the way you sent it now, right?
4- I even apologize for so much question, but this is the last promise lol.
This assistance is after I run the file, right? And even with Magisk, I can still install TWRP when it is released to update xiaomi.eu roms even though Magisk isn't it?
