Definitely not. Boot-as-recovery devices use a shared kernel for both the system and the recovery. Flashing TWRP to boot partition will render the system unbootable due to TWRP's kernel designed to load only the recovery ramdisk. If you don't already have TWRP installed, you have to "fastboot boot" a TWRP image and then flash the ROM. Installing TWRP manually is not needed, since TWRP is already included in our boot images for these devices.

Thanks for the update! I was on stock ROM and flashed TWRP-3.5.1-alioth-Nebrassy-2.img and then I flashed the previous Eu build within the same TWRP. Can I take the ota update now, or do I still have to fastboot boot TWRP?

Works fine on mi11.
A Little question: what Is "slot A and slot B" in recovery reboot menù?

A Little question: what Is "slot A and slot B" in recovery reboot menù?

Each slot has a bootable attribute that states whether the slot contains a correct system from which the device can boot -> two boot partitions

The current slot is bootable when the system is running, but the other slot may have an old version of the system, a newer version, or invalid data

It is used for OTA-Updates / Seamless Updates / fast Rollback as example and there is always one active slot and one not active slot

You can check if you have a A/B device with this tool from Playstore "Treble Check"

On Poco F2 Pro/K30Pro I can't install this week's build as the twrp included in last week's build is unable to decrypt data even though I input the correct password.
Any suggestions?

guys i have a mi9t. it has the latest twrp and just recently installed the latest mi eu rom. problem is no matter what i try i can't install magisk on it. after the magisk.zip installation phone boots into fastboot mode and erases twrp recovery. what's the correct way to install magisk with these conditions?

What Magisk version did you try to install?

Please follow my Magisk guide => https://xiaomi.eu/community/threads...nstalling-android-11-update.60181/post-594671

Hey guys, I have a question regarding updating from previous weekly with Magisk.
Should I uninstall magisk, or modules, before flashing? Usually I just boot in TWRP and wipe cache/davlik chache and then flash, but I did not have Magisk previously.
Also I wonder if there are any Mi 10T users here, if yes, is there a TWRP that we can flash without issues?
Thanks for your help, cheers.

No need to disable any modules or remove magisk before updating. But you will need to reflash magisk after flashing the new weekly

Hello, you don't need to wipe cache/dalvik (it's useless but it does nothing bad :)) and if you install Magisk again (after flashing a ROM update) and if your device doesn't correctly boot to system, then the easiest way is to uninstall/reinstall Magisk. ;)

this update broke my RN8, cause there's no internal storage found...
What exactly did you do step by step? It is working fine on mine.

Feddback:
The security patch is updated. They have also changed some stuff related to Wifi but it is too early to tell for certain.

Ahah ok, thanks for the tip. Is it recommended to first boot once on the newest rom and then install Magisk, or can I install both in a row?
