if you want to switch from stable to weekly or vice versa you can try it without format data, but its not recommend. So better you have a backup. Its your decision.

Dont wipe system partition ! It could be end in a long journey to install the system again.

Vol down - fastboot
Vol up - twrp or original recovery

One thing i noticed, the SMS delete swap feature has disappeared since last version.
Possible to get it back or related to Chinese ROM ?

extract boot.img from weekly rom. Do not flash the recovery! Just boot in fastboot using "fastboot boot boot.img"

Its keep booting to twrp when boot to system.
