MIUI 13 MIUI 13 STABLE RELEASE

I updated via windows_fastboot_update_rom.bat from 13.0.4.0.SKCMIXM to 13.0.5.0.SKCMIXM. There is no icon with active NFC in the status bar. Is it supposed to be like this ? On 13.0.4.0 the icon is present on the status bar.
Redmi Note 11 Pro 5G (VEUXG).

Thank you for your reply. I had already rolled back. Thought the firmware was a mess. I flashed it to 13.0.5.0 2 or 3 times and still no luck. No NFC icon and nothing. Now I will know that it was removed.

Like I said, we hide it. Those on Weeklies know it already, sorry that it's news to you.
It's no big deal. No one is accusing you of anything. It's just that if Xiaomi without exception released weekly firmware for all, then we would know everything about everything that appeared and what is gone. And so we have to have what we have. Thanks again for the reply. )

Yesterday, I installed the new ROM for Xiaomi 11T Pro (xiaomi.eu_multi_XM11TPro_V13.0.8.0.SKDMIXM_v13-12.zip) with TWRP (twrp-3.7.0_12-v7.0_A12-vili-skkk.img). The installation process was different from previous versions. It was surprisingly fast and as followed the TWRP process it was completely different from previous ROM's. The installation process finished with the attached message, which is different too.

According to the first page the ROM type changed to hybrid, which could be the reason of the new process. In spite of that the red lines (failed to mount...) are disturbing me. Would anybody and @Igor Eisberg explain it. I would appreciate it, just for my education.
Otherwise the new ROM is working properly it is smooth and fast, I do not have enough time to evaluate the battery life, hopefully it will be OK as well.

I am having trouble installing MIUI 13 on POCO M3 Citrus. I was coming from Global ROM V12.5.10.0.RJFMIXM which I have previously installed via Mi Flash.

I formatted /data (typed "yes") and made a recovery reboot prior to install.
I put the ROM on a USB flash drive, and mounted USB OTG.

The install process stops at:
ERROR: Failed to flash cust partition. Updater process ended with ERROR: 1

I tried OangeFox and TWRP.
I searched for similar problems - the only solution in the MIUI 14 thread is to wipe cache. Unfortunately it didn't help me.

I do not know what the function of the /cust partition is. Please point me to the right direction.

I see a difference in the filename - my previous being _R_JFMIXM and the one I am trying to install is _S_JFMIXM. Is this an issue?
Obviously the other difference is the switch from Android 11 to Android 12. Is there a problem with format /data?

R refers to Android 11, S refers to Android 12. This is not an error. What error did you get in twrp? Please send a picture

I'm glad to see that everything works perfectly and that it's installing faster than previous ROMs.

It's the exact error I wrote the code form.
It starts flashing /cust and it's an instant error.

I installed xiaomi.eu V12.5.10.0.RJFMIXM and it installs fine. It also boots.
I did not complete the initial 12.5.10.0 setup, went back to TWRP and formatted /data (typed "yes"), wiped cache and tried immediatly (no reboot) to install V13.0.3.0.SJFMIXM. I am still getting the same error.

Reboot in twrp mode and flash the rom again.

That's rather neither here nor there, since 12.5 is installing correctly like it always was. I've tried it now about 10 times, it's always the same error.

Also, should /data file system be F2FS while all the others are EXT4?

Knowing that won't help you solve the issue...

That just looks like a TWRP issue, because there is no error before it fails, it just fails. Cache is not even mentioned in there.
Best bet is to save TWRP's log and take a look in there, it should have more details.

Yes...

I've tried all the recovery files I found in this thread and another OrangeFox 11 I had saved previously from somewhere else.
This makes 4 different recoveries and none of them can install the 13 ROM, it's always the same error in the same spot.

So I wanted to flash the Global via MiFlash, but I see there is no Global MIUI 13 out yet for citrus. (There is Global for lime.) 13 for citrus only for RU and TW markets. The hell?

EDIT: I see there is an official recovery global 13 rom. I'll try to install this one and see how it goes.

Is it normal that after installing the stable ROM on my Redmi 9t (lime) the system recognize it as Redmi Note 9 4G and Google recognize it as Pixel 2

Global MIUI13 installed just fine on the first try via the brigudav TWRP, which is the same first recovery I tried to install EU 13 rom and failed several times in a row.
May I suggest there is an issue with the EU ROM itself and some incompatibility with the different markets/models (juice/chime family)?
I know these are old models and this is probably the last update, but it's still very strange for EU 12.5 to install without issues, and Global 13 to install without issues, but and EU 13 to not install with the same issue on 4 different recoveries.
