[resolved] Attachment In Mail App Not Possible

Device: Redmi 3/ido
MIUI Version: 8.2.1
Description: It's not possible to add an attachment to a mail in the stock Mail app. In new ROM 8.3.15 the bug is still there (confirmed by users in weekly thread).
Steps to reproduce: Go to Mail app > tap on new mail > tap on the paperclip > new mail force close and back to inbox

And on my Redmi 3 Pro/Ido I have the same problem not only with the stock Mail app, but also with other apps when I try to attach a file (for example in Gmail or in Viber when I try to change my profile picture).

After some searching I tried two possible solutions: one, I re-selected "Mail" as the default app in my settings. That didn't work. I also tried running the Windows app troubleshooter. That didn't work either.

This Documents version was already installed, yet a reinstallation fixed the problem.
