Yes, download the .zip, put it in the internel memory, wipe cache and dalvik just to make sure it's clean and apply the .zip

To be honest, I don't really know. But there are differences and they are not that much (it's still the same ROM so it's obviously translation and a few modifications to be more pleasant for the UK users), that I can reassure you

This is all depending on what phone you have, there are different ways for each device.

But mainly as "smirky" says, download the correct file and place it on your device. Wether it's internal or external is not really important as long as you can find the zip file again in the bootloader or simply use the "update" function of MIUI and choose the package to install instead of searching online.

As with other things, remember to wipe...otherwise it gets all nasty
