Sorry but nobody forced you to flash a BETA weekly rom on a daily use phone....
Turning back is going to be difficult without formatting data.
You have better to reflash it and clean all the cache after two reboots.
You have plenty topic explaining what is good or bad with this phone.

Im well aware that Im using a beta rom but still. Didnt expect that many problems... I guess most probably thats just because of the dirty ota to twrp flash that led to problems, incompatibillities, whatever.. Still i guess its okay to call it out here

Does anyone have issue with removing Whatsapp's media files and MIUI Gallery?

Started with last week beta, when I remove Images from inside Whatsapp app, MIUI Gallery still showing these deleted image's thumbnails, picture files are deleted (checked with Files app), trying to edit these deleted images inside Gallery gave error 'couldn't find image' (this is correct since the file was deleted).

Is there any way to fix this issue?

note : clearing Gallery cache doesn't fix this.

Hi all,

Flashed it today to this version (on my Xiaomi Mi 10). So far everything is working. However a tiny question (sorry, searched for it, but couldn't find a straight answer); after flashing and wiping cache/Dalvik, I wanted to wipe cache/Dalvik one more time, however I cannot get into TWRP anymore at all. Goes every time to fastboot mode instead.

Is this related and I quote to:
TWRP issue for cmi/lmi from 20.10.15/22/29 still exists. Unfornatunely it has been started to affect Mi 10 (umi) as well!

Again sorry for my stupidity if this already explained. But I couldn't find anything (only a ton of messages about TWRP in general).
If the above is true, how do I get into TWRP in the near future? Just wait for a new version of TWRP or ...?

Or (I hope not) is this a different issue?

I tried two different TWRP versions, both used like this:
  1. fastboot boot twrp.img
  2. phone turns off
  3. I hold on button + volume up
However it goes to fastboot mode instead. I just want to know if this is the bug mentioned or related to something else.
And how to get into TWRP mode in the future obviously.

Thanks in advance!

Please help.

How can I use for example Nova launcher and have the full screen gestures work properly?

Right now the swipe up doesn't work and haven't worked for a while :(
Is there any fix for this?

This command is correct:
  • fastboot boot twrp.img
However, make sure your device connected in fastboot mode correctly and the twrp image is exactly name "twrp.img"

That because you arr dirty flashing android 11 over android 10, this weekly version of mi 10 ultra is android 11 update.
A clean flash from android 10 to 11 will get rid of those problems.

That has been mentioned alot, it's Xiaomi code, they have to fix that in android 11.

So I did the correct update using the update manager on my Mi 10 Ultra and while most of it is working I have trouble with updating apps. They keep hanging and complaining about not enough storage available. I also noticed this in other apps (Whatsapp is complaining about not enough storage too for example). I did clear cache/dalvik-cache but I didn't seem to be resolved. Is this something known or did I miss a step somewhere or is it just a bug.

Thanks a lot man, that seems to make absolutely sense. So there rly are some compatibillity/ convert problems..

So, if i understood correctly, what i should do now is to go into twrp and delete everything before i continue on to then clean install the newest rom (20.11.5) again?

Thanks for the advise :)
